Me: AA
Player 1: QQ i think he told me later he had.

Player 1: 50,000
Me : 50,000 + (had Player 1 covered)

Me: bets to 4000
Player 1: raises to 12000
Me: re-raises to 50,000 (all in for him)

(knowing he's got a good hand) is it wiser for me to re-raise to an amount like 25,000 where i'm pretty sure he'll call, and see a flop (chancing being sucked out), or to just go all in and either take my 12000 or be all in with the best odds?

How much did you have him covered by? What blinds, position, how close to bubble, what type of game? A converted HH would be alot easier to analyze. Unless this is a live example?

In any event, if you knew he was as strong as QQ I think a shove would be best. 4 betting soft (only doubling the 3-bet) could possibly let him get away from the hand if an A or K flops, or pre-flop. And yes, there is the chance of the suck-out, but the chance is there post flop as well as pre.

It would be wise to get it in all-in pf with aces 100% of the time. From the information given (v-fold), it would have been wiser to have 3-bet lighter.

Isn't it always easier in hindsight?

As KAAHK said, please post more info. There is now real way to know what to say (well, with AA PF against 1 villain, you want all the chips in the middle) but it depends on many factors that are not available. Shove or 4-betting, whichever you think will get him in.
