The problem I have especially now morning hours for example If I wanted to open 4-6 tables at say $3.50 STT I would have to add a couple of turbo sit n gos to the schehdule
and even possibly a few 18/45 man tournaments at turbo.

The thing with turbos obviously you get less spots less moves, less opportunitys against lesser skilled players and It can quite quickly turn sour if you lose one big pot + variance is ever present on the bubble.
Is there a resolution to Maintaining many tables or do most full time players just add these turbos to make up the volume?

Or am I doing the right thing in trying to avoid them, it does seem I am going to have to play alot more turbos though if I want to keep up a volume at the stakes I need to be playing Going beyond 4 tables

I know alot of players do play turbo sit n gos.

and their have been alot of threads about Stts here but one thing I haven't noticed is any topics relating to turbo v non turbo
and how many winning regs would play majority of turbo Stts

Essentially in general your going to have a higher winrate in non-turbo because of lower varience, however turbos allow you to get in more volume within a time period. I am having the same ordeal with STT's on ftp whereby to get any volume I have to actually play more turbos than non and lets just say a downswing through me off STT's for a bit.

Decided to come back to them to try and bang out some volume for december and needless to say last nights session didn't run so great, but that is the joy of varience and card dead (which is trez bad in a turbo stt to get no cards).

Turbo's have a different aspect of play because of the blind increase speed you will find yourself having to push with less than premium hands to try and pick up blinds and keep yourself on pace once blinds get higher. Faster blinds quicker games increased volume, great for increased volume bad if not going so well as increased decrease of BR.

GL on the grind.

Its almost as if they want you to play turbos and deliberately try to discourage slow blinds.

which makes sense I suppose if you add up 20 30 mins x 100's of thousands of games all that rake adds up.

Its good to know that im not alone in disliking turbos however... I am considering trying to master a hyper lag style which would improve turbo results long term but thats easier said than done

Turbos actually have lower rake than non-turbos, on FTP at least. And in relation hyper-turbo have even lower rake so in theory if you could manage an equal winrate you are +EV just because of lower rake but yes over the additional # of games played more rake is earned via the site.

Ive always enjoyed the turbos- quicker being a big part
also some people don't realize blinds go up quicker and play too tight
Ive just started the hyper turbos (thought Id hate them)
but am doing well enough to make them my new fav
(just sucks going back to normal speed-make some stupid plays with that shove or fold mentality;))

I usually add turbo sng's when playing MTT. Mainly for trying to reduce variance but they are profitable games if you're putting in some good volume, too given how bad peoples middle/end games.

I'd also recommend turbos over normal sng's in general if your end game is good.
