Over the last weekend I played 19 games of $ 5.20 10 handed doubled or nothing . My ROI increased from minus to 31.60 for that amount. I was in the money 68.40%. I also won 3, $1.10 doubled or nothings. I tryied a couple of $10.80 doubled or nothings and lost. Are the people that much better at that level? Can anyone tell me what strategy i should use for that level cause I felt out of place. Nothing I tried worked!!

Step 1: Stop believing that short-term results are a reflection of how you or your opponents played.

Long post sorry

Step 1: Stop believing that short-term results are a reflection of how you or your opponents played.

I think you mean the two games of $10.80. I'm sorry I should have made my question more clear. I meant to ask for tips for playing at other levels. At the moment I 'm at micros. I tried cash games don't like much. I have just starting cashing in freerolls and a few other little games on other sites.I've been working on fixing some of my leaks. I reade books and other forums, bought software and such. I know ittakes a longer time to see if if i'm successful at becoming a winning player.
You are right on that term but i can see based on the quality of play i feel, i've made a huge step toward that goal. I find that i am seeing things better in my play and noticing things in others. I was just wondering what should i look for in higher buy ins!. I think more sucessful players will say play tight in the beginning the loosen as you go on. Steal when you can. Have fun. Study your players and take notes. Ijust wondered if there was more to it toward making poker more profitable and on increasing my knowledge of the game.

I meant both. Neither the 19 games or the 2 games means much.

Focus on your BR first. You're kinda all over the place with $5,$1 and $10 games. Get a strategy and stick within your bankroll. Not sure what your BR is, but I wouldn't be putting more than 3% on any one tourney or you'll lose it fast.

$5

i started playing $5 10 player s&g afer about a year playing holdem. this pays 3 player. each game lasts about 40 to 60 mins, i played 4 or 5 a night. expect to only win 1 and cash in 1 or 2 more, dont expect to cash in every game, it only takes 1 of the 10 players to take u out. build your roll slow. very rarely take on a all in before the flop, as the odds are not good unless your stack can take the loss, play tight until your stack big enough to steel the blinds usually at the 50 to 100. ..............joker131

I agree entirely. This is the best advise issued on this thread. WTG.
