The two statistics most commonly used to describe players are:

VPIP (Voluntarily Put Money In Pot)
PFR (Pre-Flop Raise)

If you had a HUD (Heads-Up Display) that could only display these two stats and one more, then what is the third stat that you would choose, and why?

My choice would be C-bet (Continuation Bet) Flop.

If a player's C-bet stat is low, then it is more likely that the player has a strong hand when they bet the flop. So I will be more inclined to fold to this bet.

If a player's C-bet stat is high, it is sometimes profitable to "float" them. They are often betting the flop with a weak hand. So if you call the flop and then bet the turn, they will often fold. There are many factors that go into deciding to float, but a high C-bet stat is the most important one.

What statistic would you choose?

VPIP / PFR / 3-bet / Steal Pct / Agg Factor / WTSD
Flop CB / Fold to Flop CB / Turn CB / Fold to Turn CB / hands

I use this setup, other statistics in popup.

I agree with you with the CBET stat. For me the 3BET stat is very handy to know if someone is aggressive against my opens and the F3BET[fold to 3 bet] makes me do some exploit plays! ie Open my 3bet range against a maniac opener!

Raise First In totally awesome stat , some players out there doesn't even know how to balance their ranges so give it a try.

And last but not least I keep an eye on the stealing stats!

Here is my HUDs setup, take a look :

Notes / Hands Abbreviated / Players Name/ VPIP / PFR / Total AFq
3bet Preflop / Fold To 3bet / Cbet Flop / Fold To F Bet
Att To Steal / Fold To Steal / WTSD / WSD / Live Amt BB

For more Insight on the player's game I open the pop up window , I use PT4 :)

I've never thought about Raise First In, thanks for the tip!

It's interesting that both respondents are using WTSD, and you are using WSD. I look at those in the pop-up occasionally (I use PT4 also), but I should probably use them more.

Yes that stat is responsible for some marginal hero calls I have made[WSD]

WTSD is one of the stats that can make you to buy a HUD haha , you can tell pretty easily if someone is a calling station. If he is just stack him off when you had the hand :)

Glad I helped!!

i think the c-bet is very usefull. Some players c-bet a lot when just holding overcards so its nice to know how strong their c-bet is

c-bet and fold to c-bet are the next two I like to see. Of course if you play enough hands against a particular villain, then I switch it to fold to c-bet vs hero rather than overall fold to cbet.
