I played in the pub league 10,000 chip tournament. The blinds were 25-50 and I had k-6 on the button the small blind calls big blind raises 275 early position calls late position calls Im on the button and I decide too call and the small blind calls. The flop goes 6-9-q two spades sb checks bb checks early position checks late position checks and I check. On the turn the 4 hit making it 2 spades and two diamonds it gets checked around again so I check. The river drops a q the small blind decides too bet out 600 the bb thinks about it for awhile and decides too fold. early position took a very long time to decide while she was thinking my made was made up too call him he has made these type of bluffs before but too my surprise she called his bet . late position decides to fold and I had k-6 and decide too fold. When the cards were flipped the bb had pocket 22 and the woman called with pocket 33. What should I have done different too win that hand?

I would discourage playing the k-6 preflop that early in a tournament of that depth. I try to play only premium hands at this stage. also, including stack sizes and if antes are in play yet would help.

Either get out soon and fold away or if you are gonna play a crap hand like K-6 make sure you bet aggressive to drive everyone away. Also you hit on the flop which was not great but you still should have thrown some chips in. I would never play K-6 but if you hit then might as well stay with it.

Fold preflop. Bet flop or bet turn. In the long run you will lose money playing these types of hands.

Agree, just fold preflop. You will just get in trouble playing those hands postflop.
