It's skill, sure you need some luck at the final table to close the deal. But when you see good tournament players, they're consistent. Also, the variance is a test of will, great players are in-the-money in MTT's 20%-30% of the time. So they lose 70% of the time. Tournaments can be very profitable long-term because of the ROI when you run deep.
