I am fairly new to poker, and I have to say I prefer 12 minute blind levels or longer right now anyway. The quicker ones throw me off. One second I have 3000 chips and the next I have 150, and wondering what happen lol.

what say you CC? Thanks.

Stick with what your comfortable with. I personally like the Turbo blind structure with 5min blinds, but I play more profitably in Regular structure games, especially when I play Tight Aggressive.
What types of games are you playing & where?

10-12 minute blinds online for me.

If you are just starting out stay with the longer blinds and you will get
more hands to see, play and learn from.
If you get bored waiting around start moving to the quicker levels.

I don’t like the turbos, it seems like everyone is just playing like donks and pushing with just about any two cards, like the mega freerolls.

Just my 2¢

I prefer more time for blind levels. It seems to me that there is much more luck and variance involved in turbos and ultra turbo than standard.

I am a cash player anyways, so tourneys in general seem lightening fast to me.

The longer the better. The more time I have to catch monster hands the less I really have to mix it up. These fish are never folding so I can punish them. I like to take my time and get it in good and close my eyes lol

Freerools for the most part right now, and the micro buy in mtt's on bovada mostly.

The less time you have, the more aggressive you have to be. You will have to widen the range of hands you play, and make larger bets.

I prefer turbo games, its more action and its suits my aggressive style better.
And another point is: the tournament does not take so long, I can not concentrate 4h or 5 h

Since, as the beginner you say you are, you might not even know what aggression means at the poker tables, stick with the longest blind levels you can find till you do know what poker aggression means.

Oh, and BTW, I will guess that most of the (somewhat established, successful) players prefer long levels.

Well I am new to holdem. Played a lot of 5 card draw over the years in the back room of a pool hall, but never really good at that. I think the 5 card gave me a Quick start on learning holdem, and a friend is coaching me.

Although my coach has no interest in playing anymore, which is bothersome, but he told me not to play turbo, so maybe I am on the right track with his teachings?

the longer the level's, the easier the game. The faster the harder. (and more action packed-- gamble"ish")

The longer, the better. I've tried some hyper turbos and the bad beats are crazy, you don't have time to wait for good hands and when you do get good hands you wind up losing to absolute crap.

As a beginner I really had no business playing those because I lack experience with marginal hands, but I tried anyway because I wanted to get into the daily Carbon VIP freerolls, then they removed those:(.

I prefer the 15 min blinds on Party... but I've won more in the $6 $1K Gtd 3 min blinds. Go figure.

10 to 12 I like and hate when the ante grows to big to fast ,should be the play that wins and losses it for you not the antes wearing your chips down.

I prefer longer levels. I generally play a bit tight and don't like playing with crap cards because the blinds are forcing me too. Having small starting stacks is a similar problem, sometimes you play one or two hands and lose and you're practically all-in from that point onwards.
