What do you think of Carbon Poker "hide" nicknames before the tournaments start?

I went back to playing Sit & Go Double or Nothing in Carbon Poker and I'm seeing that the nicknames do not appear before completing the total number of players at the table, what do you think of this option Carbon Poker? Image:

I think it's the first step toward the fight against collision. It would work better if Carbon had more players. lol. But I like the approach.

Well, this is new to me. I have not seen this screen and a tourney lobby like this at Carbon. I have recently moved to Bovada. I think they are doing this to prevent a certain percentage of people to stay with them. I left because it is too crazy and Bovada seems to have the suck-out algorithm at a way lower rate which is more realistic. Again, I'm thinking this is a ploy to keep a certain track of people because we all know that the site is going down and going hard. And as a matter of fact, I'm going to send my e-mail in to close my account. Good day to ya Carbon and BYE BYE..

i think is a good step for the future of online poker.they avoid collusion.
in my opinion poker trackers must be forbidden too.players must win with their talent and not with poker software

It's useless in my opinion. I don't collude but I do jump into a SNG with a friend every once in a while.

Take the Dons for example, there's only two in the lobby, one with 6 reg'd and the other with 1 reg'd. We jump into the game with 1 player reg'd. We've done the same on Bovada.

So I don't see it stopping much besides a player who might not want to play against a regular and wants to see if the coast is clear.

Not quite sure how they think this will stop collusion when the tourny number is still visable to all who join. All one has to do is look in the tour lobby and they can sit at the same game.

This has nothing to do with collusion. It's just to create a better environment, or at least the illusion of one for recreational players. Rather than seeing the same regs in each lobby, recreational players will now just see "Registered Player.

It shouldn't be a change that upsets anybody though. It doesn't bother me at all.

I have never seen it. I dont like it. I played DONs at 888, but they always showed the names. I think it scares some players away tho...

Nickname is an important component of all online poker. And in fact, it begins with a nickname psychology and tactics of playing online poker. Now in advance will be very difficult to prepare for the selection strategy.

Imo it's a bad idea. You can choose what tables you play in cash games to avoid regs as much as possible and I think you should be able to do the same in Sngs.

Is their traffic that low that they hide registered players to attract a few more people?

I like this idea very much just for SnG's...it can prevent collusion....

I highly doubt it will prevent collusion... People always figure out ways around it.
