What do you think about playing satellites?

I was looking for a MTT to play but I hadn't one adapting to my bankroll right now, do you think is good to play satellites?

I always play satellites on pokerstars. I think it is a good opportunity, for a small amount of money, to go through selection for more interesting and perspective tournaments. In other words, I recommend playing satellites.

I think satellites are good too. But you need to find the comfortable and with good ROI ones. Personaaly, I don't like satellites where more than 6 people but you gotta try it out all of them and decide which one suits you. GL!

Yeap why not? If for example you play $1 MTTs or SnG you can include some sat for bigger tournaments.I think this strategy will boost your bankroll if you make a good run!

Most of the sites have MTT satellites and PokerStars has some very decent 16 player ,4max sats,2 entries, I like those a lot

In satellites very hard game ,a lot shooters ... in this tournament is impossible to go with confidence..satellite more like slots casino ,see A-? go of all of in . I don't play satellites.

Yes the vast majority of the satellites are turbo/hyper speed , but there are also some with regular speed blind levels.The above depends on the site

I've always played satellite, I think it's very good for higher buy-in tournaments, most of the mid-to-high tournament is with a satellite spot, I like it a lot. Go ahead and good luck.

I believe that regular tournaments from stars is not better slots that talking about satellite...
There is no self-confidence ,there is a program and it solves..
You can play plus, you need patience in online poker ..and the rest skills such as mathematics here to anything

Satellites are very good option. You can play big tourneys for small buyin and eveb if you dont cash them, you have bigger rakeback just for playing big events.

It's good to enter expensive tournaments, but you have to have control because you end up spending a lot and not getting entry. I play a lot of sats but I always try not to spend more than three buyins.

It's definitely a good option to play satellites, I've been playing satellites for a long time and I was very good, I was pleased. i do like sattelites for all the reasons stated above. anyone have a specific one or type of sat people like the most?

I think it's good to play satellites, I play whenever I can.

Satellite entries are a great way to play into a tournament that you may be under bankrolled for or to get in at a big discount. I just read one of the final table plays in the poker millions on party poker won his entry through a satellite. He turned $5 into over 1 million dollars. That’s a great ROI and shows how great a satellite win can be.

Most structures are set to turbo, or super turbo. So an all in fest.
You get an aa or kk, to 5% but will loose to J4o.

They are good oportunity but you must take them seriously.. many people just go and shoot lucky all in, make then dificult to play.

If an 11$ tournament require 1.100$ bankroll, then it still require 1.100$ bankroll, if you try to qualify via a 1$ satellite. Maybe you can reduce it slightly, because as a winning player you should have a positive ROI in the satellite, but its not like, you are suddenly bankrolled for the 11$ tournament with 100$, just because you can buy in for 1$ via a satellite.

This is because the bankroll requirement for tournaments is determined by, how often you are going to cash or win them, and when you have to first cash in a satellite, that is obviously going to be way less frequently. So satellites are not a way to get around having a proper bankroll for the target tournament. And if on the other hand you do have the bankroll, then why bother with the satellite?

For this reason satellites are mostly an illusion. They are there to lure people into playing tournaments, they would not otherwise play, and essentially take shots. Which can be ok, if its something truly special like the wsop main event, which I am sure, everyone know, Cris Moneymaker won after qualifying via a satellite.

But if its an 11$ online MTT, its kind of silly in my opinion. If you want to play such a tournament, then just pay the entrance fee. You dont need a bankroll, unless you are going to play it over and over again, and if you are a recreational player, you are probably not.

I play a lot of satellites but only lower buy ins with large fields...

I don’t play satellites very often, mainly on the PokerStars Sunday storm in the hope of increasing bankroll

I used to play the 1ct sattelites on 888 Poker but i stopped doing that mainly because they ve almost become somesort of flip, cause people tend to go all in all the time, every hand so there is no skill factor involved anymore just luck and for a game of pure luck ill rather play slots in the casino.
