Pocket 9's, 27 of 400 remaining, short stacked and player to the right makes big raise. What do you do? Fold or shove?

At some point you'll have to win a race. There's a ton of chips in there and you won't even be at chip average if you win them.

Shove and start down your road to winning the tourney.

What site is that? It looks exactly like Ultimate Bet's old skin.

9's are probably too good to fold here with such a short stack, but I wouldn't be surprised if we should fold this hand. We're almost always getting called, and the goal of any freezeout tournament is to try and win chips without going to showdown. If you folded, I wouldn't think it was a big mistake. But I'm not the greatest tournament player.

I called just him and I had Q-A he rivered the Q. And its ClubWPT just play there for cheap practice.

Oh hai 2004, I havent seen you too often around here lately....did you see 2800k+ overlay come by earlier?

How about 88 77 playing the post exactly as he did here?

2800 chip overlay represents 50% of our stack.....so stoving his range and getting 40% equity leaves this as a call with no bubble factor, etc.

Just my opinion, I did not see earlier post, so how did it turn out?

Shove. Low M, blinds about to go up, extra value in the pot from the limpers.

Yeah you will probably be called but w/o reads that you can put his range solely on TT+ you should be happy with leading a race.

its highly unlikely he iso's to that sizing with anything worse. its like AQ+ JJ+, id snap off a shove, but fold to that iso.

Not to be an ass, but I simply dont agree...

Sometimes I will do that odd stop and go type sizing RR myself to get just the response youve expressed.

People do that with all hands in their range now; its best just to treat it as a shove or somewhere close to that imho.

Shove it. The 9s are probably good. Who knows that another won't hit. This guy probably trying to steal the pot.

I think this is pretty close, probably a fold against an unknown.

Even though I already read what you did, I'd have to go with the majority, an shove, even if you were sitting at prob about 45%with your hand compared to his before the flop, but you played it safe and did stay in the game !!!

This too me considering your chips stack is a shove... but i would honestly say that this can be an easy fold... 99 is good but you've got more free hands to look at... you could get it in better most likely... and finish deeper in the tourny. and yeah that skin look EXACTLY like ultimate bet... oh how i miss that site

I would shove if I knew I could get that player isolated, but I think there would be at least one more caller, if not more, looking at that table, so I would fold here. even considering your stack size and blinds, the chances of losing here are so high in my estimation, it would be better to wait for a more opportune looking spot, even if you are shoving with a hand not nearly as good as 99, picking the right spot is everything unless you have a monster, and picking bad spots I think are the worst moves, and this looks to be a very bad spot.

You can call me a nit but unless I get the chance to raise all-in first, I'm folding those 9s to a player who put in a 1/3 of his stack.
He puts in a bet that is more than 2/3 of your stack so your shove is being called regardless of what he holds which would be a good reason to push as long as it was folded around to him, but again he is betting a 3rd of his stack with 2 limpers before him. That is why I would not have discounted AT+, but again I'm a big nit when it comes to poker. :)

people absolutely dont do it with all their range, and that they do it as a weird merge is pretty unlikely

Snap call against 95% of villains and be happy to do so. Never played on this site, but I have to think average opponent's raising ranges are a lot wider on this sort of site.

What range would make a big raise against a limp and over limp?I suggest strongish pairs and over cards. Limpers usually have connectors and small pairs. If you want to race against broadway hands or face perhaps a bigger pair then push, personally I fold here.

As said villains x6+ iso bet from the CO shows some strength.

He's definately not going to fold vs. your shove.

With 4 more players to act (sb,bb,utg-limper and utg+1 limper) besides of the CO I'd find a fold here.

OP said you called....that's the worst decision here imo.

fold>shove>>call here.

I would shove... but not for these ^ reasons (lol).

And > LOL at not wanting to flip while on 10bb's at this stage with all the extra chips in the middle.
