Well this situation occurred few times in my poker experience, but i always dont know what to do exactly in this situation... lets go!

I got QJ in CO, everybody fold until my turn to act.
I raise it to 2.5x blinds 200/400
BB calls
Flop comes KT6
BB raises mini-donk bet
I re-raise to 80% of the pot
BB 3 bet the double of my re-raise
I get lost and prefer to fold it

My question is... when comes this kind of spot, should i do what for sure?

What to do there

Are you raising there to get them off their hand? I think in order to get max value there I would call. Then if I hit the open ender I can get paid. As it is when raising there they are only calling/raising with a hand. If they have nothing they fold and you lose value if you hit the straight. When they are the ones leading out you give them a chance to bluff at it again. If they check behind on the turn you still have one more street to get value.

Just my thoughts... I always love to see the different opinions on these though. One thing about poker, there are a lot of ways to play the same hand.

hum.... nice, so re-raise only when it is a value bet or a semibluff. And call as a check to get a "free" card or to evaluate the turn... Thanks, u cant imagine how much did u help me now! :)

You forgot to say which is the size of your stack and of the villain. A re-raise to 80% of the pot is a very strong move.

Just consider it as a check and take the line you were going to take anyway. Obv if you planned to check behind just call their bet.

Make notes if they min donk/re raise with strong hands & or min donk then fold to a raise, or whatever it is they do. Then most importantly you adjust accordingly.

Basically this:
Draw hand -- Call
Made Hand -- re-raise

But a lot depends on your opponent and if you have history with him.

You must think in what do you want with your bet, and what you're gonna do after the villain call, fold, or raise.
If you had just called the min bet, you could saw the next card almost for free.

Often this mini-donkbet is to draw straight or flush, then it is always good 3-Betar at that time, but you can choose to only calls and let him get bogged down in the hand, if you already have a strong hand.
