Something that really get to me is when I fold preflop and hit a monster.

Happened to me yesterday in the Million Dollar Sunday, I folded Q8 offsuit preflop, would have hit trips the flop and a boat on the river. The pot got big, two players were all in.

Put me in a bad spot, need the chips only had ~10 bbs left.

How can I get around situations like this? Just messes with my head.

some things I tell myself to avoid the above (it sort of works, I think):
- play 1 hand at the time.
- when you fold, the hand is over (keep observing the other players).
- and hole cards can flop into something great like full house, even quads, with turn, straight flush is an immediate option (but it happens not very often)

Hey. Include the option to prohibit the display of discarded cards in your poker client. Also, you could catch a flop of 885, but your opponent will have 55 and you will lose a lot.

If you are tilted for not playing hand then you have a serious problem, usually people tilt cause of bad beats. Maybe the solution is 420:D:D

These situations repeat constantly, it is possible to consider in more detail the range and to find more loose, and the second time successful hands.

Poker is a beautiful game that will teach you a lot about your thought processes when it comes to making decisions in every day life if you let it. You have to make your decisions as best you can given the information you have at the time. Who cares about results? The decisions you make only give you a greater chance of positive outcomes (assuming you're making good decisions :D), they won't guarantee them. Try your best to stay in the most logical frame of mind when playing and if you fold a winning hand just realize you made the best decision with the information you had and the results are literally nothing.

Hands like this happen every once in a while but if you keep trying to play them you will lose big time in the long run.

I what I do to take away those thoughts is I tell myself that even if I stay blind few have to take the risk because if they kill me or I kill them. So I usually do and I usually win the hand which guarantees me a good amount of chips and to continue advertising. greeting and good luck at the tables.

This is it exactly. odds are against you with the cards you were dealt. You may hit one time out of twenty for good returns, but the other 19 will drag you the other way.

#1 :: Don't let it mess with your head. Get your cards out of your head too. They are meaningless. Watch the play unfold, and concentrate on that. Their actions gives you intel into their game play.

#2 :: When you had that hand, what level was the game at?

If the stakes were low, you still have time to work your magic on other hands. Later stage of the game with the bubble in sight -- I may have shoved all-in pre-flop if the timing and position were right.

It happens, not to play a winning hand, even it was low value one! What can you do? I see that it happens with a frequence. The thing is to try to find this frequence!

This happens to everyone and they wish they had played the hand, but if you were playing hands like yoiur queen eight all the time you would not last long.

Get to a point where you know what preflop hands to play when, and the tilt from missing out by folding a bad hand should go away. Long term, this game is about playing well, not getting lucky.
