oh, there were some experiments in my poker history. One of them was to play garbage as strong and strong as nearly garbage. It was experiencing. But not so bad. This strategy may be useful to pressure other players when you have such a big stack.

Use history as a focus.

Really depends on so many things that you can't really just TRY random things, because there are so many external factors!

Good luck my dude.

stay aggressive

if you want you can check Gus hansen´s final table at the Aussie´s . he raised throughout the tournament more than 60% of the hands. Also you can check his video with the all in against the other poker stars. if you need help finding them i can post them here for you.

if you are a tighter player you can raise and show your cards at the end of the hand , just to gain credibility and after that you can extract chips easier.

Try playing without looking at your cards -- raise in position, be aggressive and force other players to fold. A bad call is worse than a bad fold.

Pay attention to how often you're raising, you can't just pretend to have AA every hand.

Read board textures to apply your perceived range vs your opponents expected range, and play accordingly.

That said, I always end up checking my cards occasionally though. Just in case I actually do have AA every hand.

Start loose

I always start loose and show a few so called bad hands or bluffs and then blend in a nice mixture of playing tight and kind of going back and forth depending on how I feel about the table...Ive found that showing a few bluffs towards the beginning can get calls later on from hands that normally wouldn't call and therefore extract chips...playing live after you push all in with the nuts...a look down doesn't ever hurt on getting calls :)

Good old Gus, poker has changed a lot. He was at one time considered a "good" player. I guess Chris Moneymaker was also....

Gus's strategy of raising 60% of the hands doesn't seem to work too well.

I think ANY strategy will work short term, that's just variance. You can play really loose and win, but you will ultimately lose in the long run. Gus is the poster boy for that.

I also think on the other side of the spectrum, if you play too tight, you will lose (just blind out or have AA cracked). You should find a medium and switch back and forth from loose to tight depending on the tournament/cash table. This is where you need to play "your game" which should always be changing and evolving.

A strong basic strategy is best to fall back on but you must have all the "tools" in your box if you want to succeed long term. If you play only one way then you will be exposed and taken advantage of. A rock will not get action. Players will fold AK to you avoiding you rather than risk playing a hand against you. Too loose and you will be playing against the whole table. Everyone else will take turns trying to stack you and they will all be ahead of your range every hand. If you can play both of these styles and are mixing it up just right you will be a pain in the ass to play against. You must know when and where to switch and must be comfortable with both styles. When you keep changing gears like this and get it right you can run tables over. If you get it wrong you get run over but with practice you should be able to do more winning than losing. The situation at an exact moment at the table will dictate the style you play. Enjoy
