What would you guys suggest? 10%? 5%? I will still go play occasionally when I can't resist, but I want a goal for when I can start moving up a little bit. Plus once I have a BR I'm going to Vegas!
First you need to know your skill level and opponents skill level to make an accurate assesment. I play $33 and $35 MTT's (36-54 players) at american legion and eagles and these games are extremely soft, blinds (15min levels) start at 5-10, then to 10-20, 25-50 and essentially double every 15 mins with 5250 in starting chips. I have a 40% cash rate at the moment (4 of 10 tourneys), but have put off playing these regularly until I can get at LEAST 700 saved so I can play 20 tourneys, but im also going very deep in every single tournament. The crowd is old Nit's who are easy to steal pots from, drunks who you have to avoid them blowing themselves up, and about 5 regular good players. In this environment I think 20 buyins at my skill level is a good start. Give me some more info about the games, where they are held etc. and i'll give you a better assesment. My online cash rate is 18%, whats yours? I hope I can help some. With no more info I'd say $1000 for 3-6 limit, and $1500 for those MTT's @ minimum
