Hey,
so I'm interested in playing this tournament, and have been crunching the numbers for a while. I'm not exactly sure if I need to start out playing a very fast aggressive game or if I have a little bit of time to slow down.

A $100 buy in gets you 13k in chips.
The tourney blind structure is attached to this post.

Looks like about a 6 hour tourney (give or take an hour).

You have plenty of time - I sure wouldn't get in a hurry. I won a very similar structure last night and I didn't get very active at all until after the first break, and you're starting with almost 3x as many chips as I got. You can do this though - set aside a certain amount of your stack to "gamble" with in the early stages. If it were me I would say $3,000 is what I would use to start off a little laggy just to see how it goes. If that goes away I go back to TAG and wait for my spots.

The loose start will help you get action later if and when you tighten up. But if you did I did last night - Uber Tight Nit start - you will see them dive out of the way when you go in to grab some blinds.
Both methods can work - probably depends on your comfort zone and especially your discipline (hard for some guys to shift from loose to tight at the drop of a hat).

That's exactly what I was thinking. Good.

Yeah I usually play TAG style, but like to make Laggy position plays/semi bluffs early on if I'm card dead. If I get chips, I usually slow down on my aggression and tighten up until I need to ramp up again.

I thought it was just me who did this? :)
