Has anyone cashed the Cards chat Freeroll and then turned that into a nice sustainable poker bank roll?

If so, please explain how you did it and the time it took.

Quite a few of the CC regulars have done this. Playing the free rolls not only gives you a chance to get some cash, but the experience gives one a definite advantage when playing games away from CC. I am strictly a casual, hobby player & could not tell you the last time I deposited.

I've done it in the past through cardschat freerolls on each site they have games on. Then I use that money to play other stuff. Most recently, I came in 3rd in the betonline cardschat freeroll to get $24 from 0.

I think it's very difficult, because you will only have one tournament per day to play, and unfortunately the game's variables can cause pergas ...

Well even if its once a day its better than other freerolls since its only with few hundred people unlike other freerolls who contains thousands of players

I love the CC freerolls. I have only cashed once out of 7 or 8 tries this year. But that one time I won.

Due to being tired from work nowadays I usually don't play a lot anymore (probably a few dozen hands of cash games a night on average at most) so my acct balance barely budgets. I imagine if I gave it a real effort, I could at least make my balance go up dollars instead of cents a day... I guess I am kind of conserving my energy for the Wednesday freeroll. :D

I'm not yet a member of the freerolls club, but playing freerolls is stuffing a bankroll. I do not think that having won $ 10 you have to climb into tournaments for 1-2. Better to strengthen the bankroll and improve the game

Have not done it since I am not in the club yet. Hopefully later this week, but not stressing. However, I have turned 5 dollars into 500 etc. before. I started off playing 25 cent buyins (45-man), continued playing until i had 25USD and switched to 50 cent until I had 50USD. After that I played MTTs with 1 dollar buyin or 2 dollar buyin if KO-MTT. It is possible and not too hard if you play tight, both in your game and bankroll. Good luck.

I've done it. I've use CC freerolls to go from 0 to 320.00. I think the big thing is not to nickle and dime yourself to death. I would play freerolls for a month and see where I was at. I wouldn't win 10.00 and hit the micros. I think the best strategy is to decide how much you want to win and play ONLY freerolls till you reach that point.

Like everyone, I started out thinking that as long as I made the right decisions I would always profit and be the champion. What I did not reckon with was downswings. So I made 7-8 deposits thinking it was okay since i made the right decisions I simply was unlucky.

Fortunately, I am quite priviliged being born and raised in norway making me not rich, but quite well off from birth (hard working parents.) This has given me a kind of security net.

After a while playing, I realized I would be best of playing like the experts say, with proper Bankroll management, disregarding the money aspect and simply focusing on playing better.

After a while, I reached a proper bankroll for playing the MTTs I like and I am currently playing with poker as my main source of income. So my best advice will be to disregard the money aspect of the game, rather focusing on becoming the best possible player. With time, the money will come automatically.

Bankroll management is almost just as important if not more so then a deep understanding of the game.

I'm working on it. I've never made a deposit and just been playing cardschat freerolls and micro tourneys at ACR. I've been at it for a couple years, I've won the cardschat freeroll a couple times and cashed in it a bunch over that time. I also won a $400 GTD tourney - buy in around a $1 but with rebuys and add ons probably in for $6. I was up as high as $250 but now have around $120 so I have to be careful. I'm doing ok at the micro SNG's but it's not easy. With a small bankroll and my rule of not depositing, a few bad beats and you've lost a chunk of your bank. I'm going to keep studying, improving my skills and hope for a little luck :)

I'm on my way....
FRC freerolls are way better than any other, half my bankroll 40$ is from cc.
I'll keep freerolling until I don't like it anymore; either increase stakes, or get a Ferrari.
FRC Freerolls likely stay within the stakes, excellent for training.

You can check out the leader boards of CC. There it is listed how much the people cashed there so far. Since last year June I managed to win $194.65 so far as the leader board for Non-US Sites tells me. So yes, of course you can start to have some br or add some to your br with the freerolls. Well, maybe I am also wrong about the time, because I am not sure for what time period the leader boards are counting atm.

Thanks a lot to CC for this, by the way.
