Well usually you have 3k chips and 10/20 blinds so you have a lot of blinds for the start. You should play normal, tight at the start of the tournament, don't waste chips in bad spots. When the blind are going up you need to be more agressive, if you a have a spot to steal with 10blinds go for it. Just search any push/fold chart :). gl

First few levels you should be playing a tight game, try to double up trough those LAGs when you have a decent holding. There is no need to steal early as there are no antes and the blinds are small. As the blinds go up the shortstackes will feel pressure so they will either fold or go for coinflips with marginal hands. So pick your spots, try to steal and don't be afraid to call a 10-15BB shove with your broadway, paired or some AX type hands.

As others have said, you need to be tight earlier and become more aggressive as the blind levels increase. You need to get comfortable shoving all-in with marginal hands if you're in the right position. Also, you shouldn't expect great results in every turbo you play, turbos obviously have higher variance than regular speed MTTs (which already have very high variance).

Agree with others but, people play turbo only because of time constraint on their part.I personally avoid playing turbo unless it was a freeroll.

Turbo tournaments are based more on luck, because blinds go up really fast.. So if you have more time, then try to play normal tournaments, there is more time to choose your best hand. :)

I think some people confuse the term aggressive with the term loose. You should be tight as well as aggressive and later widen your range to the point of being loose as well as aggressive.

No they don't, some play turbos because they are actually more profitable in terms of $/hour than ROI.

top 5% starting hands in the early stage, very important to survive, when you're in the middle stage you can use the push or fold strategy cause the blind ratio is to high.

Agressive in late stages.

Ye you definitely need to be opening a bit more in the right spots to pick up the blinds and antes.

When I started playing on line , I hated turbo's. The more you play the more feel you'ell get for them. Now I enjoy them especially with the ridiculously late registrations now. G/L
