Turbo/Speed Mtt

I just played 3K GP Speed R/A on ipoker. Normally I play tight at the start of a tournament but it seems doing this in a turbo resulted in me being a short stack even after the add on break and having to looking for a spot to shove. Is it better to play more loose at the start of these tournaments and limp into more pots with hope of hitting a monster or am I better off sticking to being tight?

As is the case so often in poker, the answer is "It depends." And various factors can influence the decision, including but not limited to the way your opponents are playing, how much they're rebuying, how many times you're still willing to rebuy, and the relative stack and overall chip situations at your table.
