Your on the bubble of a Triple-up Turbo SNG and it's now four handed. The blinds are 200-400 with a 40 chip ante. You have 3200 chips the player on your left has 2800, the next player has 2100 and the player on your right has 5400.

Blind stealing at this point is obviously going to be critical. However, the players to your left are shorter stacked and becoming more desperate with every orbit. The player on your right is clearly raising your BB more than normal. How much equity do you have to have against the small desperate stacks to shove profitably and how much do you have to have against the big stack to shove over his raise profitably?

It's where the last three players of nine chop the total prize money automatically instead of playing it out.

its not how much equity but h9w much fold equity you have. the more they fold the more fold equity and free chips you have. so jam on stacks that you have covered often.

keep in mind even when you get called you can still win the hand

its usually more of a mistake for them to call wide than it is for you to shove wide

I get what your saying but you do want to have some equity when called too. And people are often calling kind of wide here. Especially blind vs blind assuming that your stealing.

Also, if your shoving wide with the stack sizes above your almost risking your tourney life each time.

you almost alwayd have 20 to 30 percent vs anyones calling range. its really hard to be lower than 20 percent vs someones range. and then factor in that we have fold ewuity. so if they call 40 percent of hands we win the pot 60 percent of the time. just a very vague answer there.

and if you think players are calling you too wide its most likely a human reaction to being put in s spot where younshoved wide. got called and looked stupid doing it.

search google for
raizin azian fear in sngs. he wrote a really good blog post that covers this well. learn the math behind why shoving is good and then focus on that and try to put the fear of being called aside.

when it comes to hand monster Tipo AA or KK and is very loose and not agresivny player with a big stack pushes Allin! but in the case of our loss, we become shorstekom, how best to do in this situation? anyone has experience on this topic?

Your absolutely right and I get what your saying. A lot of these players I'm sure aren't that observant but some are. I know I am.

This whole post is a reaction to some runbad I've been dealing with. I'm getting called wide a lot of the time with hands I'm ahead with preflop and not winning. Somehow this is leading me to believe that I should look for hands with more equity to shove with because I've been getting called so frequently.

Thanks for the article, I'll check it out.

In the turbo SNG's I'm talking about here you call with AA and KK no matter what. I'd Imagine in any tournament preflop you can't fold either of these hands to a shove.

if a player is dropped right then you should go with any lady Ollin king and ace and above. because they are too afraid to fly then you will not be equated with different garbage.
