I always play regular and I do not bad. I cash MTT frequently but have never taken 1 down. But I was thinking of switching to turbo but I think that means my strategy would need to change coz u will defiantly need to play more hands. Is this correct? The reason for this is sometimes I'm in a MTT for 4 hours and take $13 or somthing and it just doesn't feel worth it coz I was looking at the hot 7.50 and it ran for 4 hours with 2347 players. If this was the big 7.50 with that many players u r talking at least 7 hours until the final table. What do yous prefer?

Good morning mate! Good many professionals say turbos games have many bad players the problem is the variance that is too large you have to study hard push and fold does not have much post flop play in turbos game because the blinds go up faster than that is a good play turbos yes.

I prefer a normal speed, the turbo is very fast, and the style of the players is too aggressive with dirty or good hands, I do not like the truth to play in turbo, and in hyper less.

I prefer turbo by far. Too many people waiting for great hands at regular speed. Takes way too long.

I have played in both forms and I definitely prefer regular games ... my experience in the turbo tournaments is that the blinds go up very fast ... that forces you to play more hands and therefore you are exposed to be eliminated at any time. .. while in regular tournaments in the early stages there is time to select the spot you want to play on!

I prefer the usual speed, in turbo I'm not interested in playing. and generally do not understand this style of play.

I prefer tournaments at normal speed. In Turbo games, I think luck is more important than skill.

Turn up the aggression. You don't have the time to wait for premium like you would a normal speed tournament. Pay attention to the size of the pot in relation to your stack size and determine whether or not it is worth committing all of your chips in case you have to. Even if you have a big stack, don't get comfortable because the faster blinds will sneak up on you. Keep in mind that everybody is in the same boat, so calling off lighter may be a better than in regular speed tournaments.

Actually the very long game is more tiring and logically demands a very good physical, pisological and even mental preparation.
You after a few hours of play, you can do mindless things and go in hands that you normally would not if you were mentally well.

It's really tiring, but I like it.

Good luck to everyone!

Turbo is pretty fun. Definitely a lot more action in those. You just have to pick one and play aggressive in the middle and later stages of the tournament. It's a lot more like gambling than real solid poker. I wouldn't put up too much of a buy in in those type of games. Just risk what you could stand to lose. Oh yeah and have fun.

I prefer regular and even slow tournaments. I mostly play cash tables these days so if i want to play a tournament i prefer to play as much time as posibile for a low amount of money and a chance to win pretty big. So regular and slow are better for people who wants to play more for little.

I play regular, and would say that turbo is harder to play and needs a lot more studying at least for me.

I do not like Turbo, only slow tournaments. Turbo tournaments are more dependent on luck

I look at it like this.... If you feel like you can OUTPLAY people post flop, stick to regular style. If you feel like you only cash or win tourneys because you go all in and win most of the time.... stick to turbos. Turbos allow you to win more money faster when you are running good. If you go on a heater in a turbos later stages, you will most likely make the final table. If you go on a heater in a regular format in later stages, everybody has so much chips and BB's that you will most likely not gain that much chips.

I think to play well in turbo tournaments, you need to study well the strategy - push-fold !!! Turbo-tournaments I play a little more often than usual!

In my opinion it is easier to play MTTs with a longer blind structure. In turbos it comes quickly to the push or fold stadium and you have not much time to consider what hands you will play and which not. In MTTs you are moved often to other tables and therefore you also have less time to find out against what kind of opponent you are playing. This is in my opinion also a disadvantage.
For SNGs I like to play the turbo format.

I prefer tournaments at normal speed, because in the hyper-tournaments you often eat blinds and you do not even go to the card to enter the game. In tournaments at normal speed, usually this does not happen

To play turbo tournaments you have to change your range of hands, and aslo your bank must be bigger, to support the variance.
