Sorry i do not have a hand converter but ill try my best to explain the situation.. Sorry in advanced for this horrible explanation but it gets the job done :]

I was in a 1k GTD. $10+1 buy in on Bovada. I was probably around 6-9th place with a chip stack of 25k. Blinds were 500/1000. We were getting close to the bubble, maybe 10 knockouts off.

I was in the BB. Everyone folded to the CO. He went all in for for about 12k. Dealer and SB folded.

I call with my pocket 10s and he shows KQ and flops trips and turns a full house.

Its easy to say now that i should have folded... and i definitely will think about it in the future.. But how bad of a call was this really? If he doesnt hit anything i look like a genius but since he hits a full house im an idiot lol.

Ruined my chance of running to the final table but i did make the money.. unfortunately not the kind of money i was hoping for after about 2+ hours :p

OOP and that close to the bubble I'm pretty sure I could let that go...not second guessing you and I'm probably the worst person on this site to advise ( many others can quote EV/other mathmatical stuff ) but IMO odds say he will have 2 overs and I dont like that race...gl in the future and it only cost half your stack... still had a chair...hope you still ITMed it...

i would call with TT, not because of you lose this hand, but because, I would get more chance to accumulate chips on a +EV situation.

So , I would 100% call with my TT. unless he is super tight...

Do you have any reads on him? Actually calling all-in with JJ- and lose to two over cards, you need not complain cuz it's just a flip.

Definitely a flip and all you can do after you called is trust your luck that he doesn't hit. I wouldve called as well! There was no way I am folding that hand in that situation to be honest so you did the right thing and just had bad luck.

It seems that the odd hitting an Ace on the board is higher online than live...

Position is irrelevant when you're calling a shove :)

CO could be shoving 22-99 too which we're obv super pumped about. We're 55% vs overcards too.

I'm probably going to make that call all day and all night. I'm constantly picking off moves from these cats in late position. Early on in tourneys, they will raise to try to steal your blinds. But later on, especially approaching the money bubble they will go from raising to shoving all-in to steal blinds and antes. I've picked people off shoving Q-4 off down to 6-2, counting on the fact that I would be too worried about cashing to defend my blind. I'm never folding 10s there. In this case, I may have wished the hand would have played out different. But I wouldn't second guess myself on that call. That's just the way the game goes sometimes. I've picked players off shoving all in on me with 8-6 when I was holding Kings and been outdrawn. Sometimes they just get lucky. Actually, they get lucky alot.

Call is totally fine, try not focusing on how the hand played out.

If you keep making calls like this, it's only going to yield a bigger profit :)

I think you have to call in that situation..You are trying to win not just cash, you just got unlucky..

I'd say 10-10 is pretty much always a snap call in this spot...cant play scared plus if he really had JJ+ he prolly doesnt shove in this spot

You can opt to tighten up once you're close to the bubble - I've seen a lot of players do so, throwing away better pocket pairs than you have there but you're not being an idiot by calling. It's +EV play - his shoving range is a lot wider than normal with only 12BBs left. You made the right call, as someone else said you're 55% here so you are ahead marginally.

Of course he's not PO.

Get with it man, remember that online is either rigged or they have 10 aces per deck of cards in online as opposed to live.

Lol at this :p

And thanks for the feedback guys, i really appreciate it.

I know people love to shove in that spot to pick up the blinds and antes, and to be honest i wasnt even worried about what cards he might have, I just saw my TT and snap called. I know that big risks like this is what it takes to make it deep in tournaments which is what i was trying to do, and if i woulda won definitely would have happened.

I still cashed though woohoo for that!

Even if he has AA it was still a good call. Because we have to look at his range and since he is short stacked and it folded to him, he can shove here with a very wide range. Sometimes he'll have you crushed, but more often than not you will have him beat and win. Didn't work out this time, but don't go second guessing yourself.

Good call here! Like someone previously said he could have had 22-99 or even an Ace with an undercard and you're looking great in those scenarios
