I never know how to play TT when you have above 10BB and possibly a 3x raise before you, because if any face card comes and there is no T you are probably dead.

Thanks

Easy shove with TT when you have less 15bb, very strong hand and you will be ahead most of the time..

And you are right, any overcard the other has could come and kill you. Or a st8 could hit the guy. Or a flush. Or a full house. Or you could end up with 2 bigs and get blinded out. Or a bus could crash through your house and run you over. Or a meteor could hit you on the head. You could get hit by lightning....OR, you could call, find out he has AA, and get a ten on the river doubling you up. Get it?

By even asking this question, you are too-tight a player. And you probably are at ten bigs because of this, so you are obviously folding too much when you should be calling or raising when your stack is larger. Open your game a bit, and take advantage of your tight image if possible. I would also recommend the App for android/iphone called "insta-poker"; it can help your game. Or, if no money, try one of the several reputable sites offering training in NLH for free. Stop fearing a better hand. It will happen no matter what.

As said by many, with 10bb it is a shove. If you have more than 10bb, your move will depend on the image you have of the original raiser, his stack and a bunch of other things, especially your position and how you think the players after you will act after your move. If you think you will be HU with the raiser then just shove. TT is really good against ONE opponent. If others are going to call the shove, then you are behind, that's mathematically true. You can also decide to fold and wait for a better spot only if your stack is way above 10bb (say 16 to 20bb). If it is below 15 I would just shove if I have set an image of a tight aggressive solid player.

I think the correct play is to bet light to bring someone to the flop, because you will probably be ahead.

TT is a shove with 10bbs from any position and its most likely a call depending on if the shover is super nitty and your tourney equity

Classic all-in with short stack .. When you have big stack and UTG or URG1+ or 2+ raise, you can just call on MP for example, to see flop, easy slow play and not much risk to run versus better pair.
