And you are right, any overcard the other has could come and kill you. Or a st8 could hit the guy. Or a flush. Or a full house. Or you could end up with 2 bigs and get blinded out. Or a bus could crash through your house and run you over. Or a meteor could hit you on the head. You could get hit by lightning....OR, you could call, find out he has AA, and get a ten on the river doubling you up. Get it?
By even asking this question, you are too-tight a player. And you probably are at ten bigs because of this, so you are obviously folding too much when you should be calling or raising when your stack is larger. Open your game a bit, and take advantage of your tight image if possible. I would also recommend the app for android/iphone called "insta-poker"; it can help your game. Or, if no money, try one of the several reputable sites offering training in NLH for free. Stop fearing a better hand. It will happen no matter what.
