Because calling off ~99BBs with mid-high pair in the early stages of an MTT is an optimal play.

I must say that lately i have been raising with small suited conectors (depending on how the table is playing) if you are on a flush draw after the flop you can get a fold and if you make a straight no one sees it because they dont think you will be raising with a 4 5. Obviously there is a lot more factors to think about. But in this case if you had a really tight image and it was a low buy in tourny i would maybe of pushed hoping for the fold and if you call there is a chance for me. I am not the best poker player though, maybe its because i do things like that, haha.

I only called off 99 into a bluff shoving machine. I wouldn't of taken this play against anyone else. And when the cards flipped over I was a massive favorite so surely the right move for that situation?

As I said I had a read on the player and wouldn't be making this move often as it is a loosing play against a standard player but in this situation it was the right move and would of given me max value out of my hand. Just unlucky that he bad beat me.
