Study your short stack game. Middle and late stages, and learn to not freak out when you have less than 20 big blinds. Lear not to leaks chips when you're the big stack.
Start there, thank me later

Well maybe you have not read the movements of your rivals, or you have not been aggressive enough for the bubble, analyze your tournaments in final tables that leads to success in plays and that played to failure

Making the final table can vary in difficulty depending on the size of the tournament and it seems like you are talking about some fairly large ones so I wouldn't get too down if you're not getting to the final table every time.

My advice though would be to find exactly what or at least in what phase of the tournament or what kind of stack you struggle most with. Then once the issue is diagnosed you can actively work to get better at it and make the FT.

My general advice would be to open up your range in position during the bubble phase. When everyone else is playing passively trying to get into the money, you can swoop in and get them juicy blinds and antes.

Good luck! Hope this was helpful.

There is no space for unneccesary risks, but it is ok to flip a coinfor a chance at winning

If you want to make out to the final table dont rush
Normal stack is also enouf to make out to the final
Play logically. Fold almost 90%+ hands only play with monster hands Always call all in with JJ and above pairs. Raise 3x or 4x with TT and below.
Never chase hands if you have less than 2 outcome. Dont lose your temper if you lost your stack on some points. Up down in poker is normal thing. Dont regert if you fold winning hands.
there is lot of hands waiting for you.
i made out 11 times to the final table. 2 times champion with 500+ playersn . Best is 4500+ player i secured 3rd rank.

Try not to look at too many flops, even in deepstack tournaments... After an hour or two, your 200bb stack turns into 40bb and you still call 2-3bbs to see that flop. Thats the most common mistake people make in tournaments.
Also, try to play in position when possible, as u get closer to the final table, adjust your game depending on your stack, bigger stack-looser play, shorter stack-tighter play :)
Hope this will be helpfull :)

try to steal some blinds when approaching the bubble a lot of players will become a lot tighter to enter the prices. Dont just sit there and let your stack decrease with antes and blinds

Actually I have to disagree, any solid player plays looser on the bubble, also, they go all in with slightly wider range, putting pressure on short stacks. Trying to bluff with some 3bet preflop might induce an all in from hands like pocket 5s or 6s, or even some ATs.
You should play more aggressive for sure, just not out of position, and not with senseless cards :)

How can I advise when I do not even know how you play. I personally play very carefully throughout the game. If I fight with the opponent for the pot and he throws all the chips, I should think about the move. Maybe not worth the risk if I'm not sure of my cards. The closer to the last table, the more careful the game. for the latter I generally try to wait for the number of players to decrease.Sometimes the steal blinds if the card is bad...

Yeah, try to study what is optimal to do middle stage with the stack sizes, specially the spots that are profitable open folds with the intention to steal the dead money. Identify and separate from the others players on your table that are not ever 3bet re-stealing. Don't be 'cheapy' and too stack protective, big hands lose too!

Best regards

Yes, when I get to the final table, you can play very tight and quiet when you need to play tight but aggressive.

steal blinds in position, be tight agressive, but when you are 3 betted after betting the turn do not hesitate to fold (you are r 9 out of 10 times beat anyway), never go all in accept with a monster pair or when you have reached the level of 10BB you cannot call any hands anymore you need to go all in with any decent hand. Knowing is half the battle

I know why you are trying to glean this information. However, without your fellow CC members seeing the hands and actions it is impossible for us to analyze what is going on and find the problems. All these suggestions are great but which should you apply to your game? If you have a HUD that permits you to analyze your hands that will help you and us determine leaks, and other weaknesses that should be addressed.

Regards,
GiGiCat:)

My best advice is don't play MTTs. If you don't like investing 3-4 hours at an hourly rate of a couple of cents an hour, switch to cash games. Much easier to make a good hourly rate; variance is pretty much inconsequential; you play as long or as short as you want, and you take breaks when YOU want.

this problem is solved by a victory in multithreading, which many are afraid of, but this is a simple way to the final table

I've just realised the value of position. There are hands I will almost always play on the button that I won't touch under the gun..

As others have said, it's difficult to determine the source of the problem without more information.

Typically a player who often finishes in the money, but rarely wins a big prize, is a player who plays tight throughout the tournament. To get a big stack, you usually have to take big risks. You have to learn when it is smart to take a big risk.

There is no easy way to learn this, since so many different situations are possible. Whole books are written about how to play at various stages of tournaments, and what kinds of risks are smart to take.

Another way a player might often finish in the money, but rarely win a big prize, is if they turn into a wild person after the bubble, taking risks that are foolish. This is less common, but I have seen it.

Also remember that even the best players do not usually make the final table.
If 150 players are paid, only 9 of them, 6%, will be at the final table.
If you are getting to the final table even 7% of the time that you are in the money in that tournament, then you are doing better than average.

When there are few players left in the tournament, or you have very few chips left, then the stage of the tournament (push-fold) starts for you !!! I think you have a problem with this stage of the tournament! carefully study the strategy of the game push-fold !!!

thanks, most interesting was to read the tips, because I myself have the same problems...
my problem is that I often play with a chip leader ... who is more lucky, even if my cards were better at the beginning...
