There`s nothing wrong with that. It`s a perfectly reasonable VPIP percentage for a tournament player.
Areas where less experienced MTT players typically fall down, and which you might consider in relation to your own game, are:
Positional Awareness - playing out of position (unless with a monster hand) will force you to make tough decisions post-flop and will increase the likelihood of error.
Aggression - you should be raising more than half of the hands you play.
Stealing - as the blinds rise, you should be looking to maintain your stack size by capturing the blinds regularly. Since you will not always pick up sufficient strong cards, you must be prepared to do this by targetting weaker players and raising their blinds without the comfort of good cards.
