how about you? any advices how many rebuys to make (some ppl are doing them till addon), is not it wasting money?
I personally do not like a whole lot of rebuy tourney's. If there is one, I prefer it to end after the 1st break rather than a high number of levels. Makes the game go on far too long. Plus I primarily play with 1 bullet. 2 at most if early game and it doesn't fall below my risk vs bankroll.
I have 2 separate bankrolls I manage. 1 for cash and 1 for tourneys. I have a hard rule on both to manage my risk. If I lose up to 2% of either account on any given day, I stop playing. If I lose up to 5% of either account for the week, I stop playing for the week. Then I just go back to freerolls for practice the rest of the time until the following day/week. Then I have to also adjust to lower stakes and lower tourney's, avoiding rebuys until my bankroll is back up to snuff.
I've seen people take rebuy after rebuy after rebuy. At what point is it too much? Personally I like to keep playing on a bankroll that I don't have to keep depositing or refilling due to going bust. Just like trading, DO NOT chase or keep playing to attempt to recoup. Step away from the PC/table and regroup your mind. Once your mind is emotionally compromised, you're done. Don't chance it to luck or hope trying to recoup the damages. Come back to fight another day. It's not worth trading or playing poker on or near tilt.
