I have become quite unabashedly a tournament time banker. Yes, you may hate me, but I've come to find that it's quite profitable in that I'm experiencing fewer blinds than average, and getting over the bubble more often, since employing this strategy without shame.
To be clear, BetOnline doesn't allow for true time banking, rather I'm using all of the allotted time for each hand. While I'm guessing it's ten seconds, it adds up over the course of the tourney. I don't usually start dragging my heels until after the first break and it's becoming clear that I could get close to the money.
So, what do you think? Is this acceptable? Is it deplorable? At any point do you start to use the timer or time bank to get to the money?
