Hey guys i am new to cc and just wanted to make my first post. I am gonna try just sticking with MTT and regular tournaments. I've been really good at placing in the money when playing but the problem is when i get that money i seem to always find a way to bust my roll on ring games. I've been reading up a lot on br management and i am finally starting to see the light. Well ill keep you guys posted and i am glad to be able to be apart of this community.

Welcome to CC! I have the same kind of issue - doing quite well in MTT's and then watching the profits disappear in cash games. Unfortunately I'm at that buy in level at cash games where I see players do the most ridiculous things and it usually ends up costing me. I'm going to try and get into SNGs more while playing the odd MTT here and there. Good luck!

Hi Volc90 i would suggest you stay in the tournaments and play very small ring games to build you bankroll. If i play ring games myself i try to get 1 and half times of what i start with and then get out and start again with original stake.

Ring games and MTT I have found to be very different and you need different play. With MTT it is all about position, chip stack, blinds, opponents cards, and then your cards.

With Ring games focus becomes about position and cards. That is it. Do not try to steal. Your main focus in ring games is bet for value only. You essentially have to create another game in your head to play ring games. Good luck.

Same here - after dropping a few hundred in the ring I gave it up cold turkey several months ago, sticking to only MTT. My BR is no longer afraid of me coming to make withdrawals and instead looks forward to deposits.
