For a beginner, I would recommend HoH first, as it lays a really solid foundation for playing tournaments, and provides a reliable strategy. Phil Gordon's series is also a very good beginner's book.

That said, I think Winning Poker Tournaments One Hand At A Time is one of the best series I've read. Each book is a sample of about 200 hands taken from tournaments that the authors have played, and explains their thoughts on each move they made. But I wouldn't recommend it to a beginner.

For beginners, HoH. For more advanced players, The Poker Tournament Formula.

Although it's not on your list, I think the best book for beginners is Phil Gordon's "Little Green Book" . :)

Your list here has the best NLHE Tournament books on it.... so am guessing you've done some homework on the subject (obviously).

IF you're a beginner.....
I'd start out with Phil Gordon's 'Little Green Book' (it's a well-written book),
then next would be 'Harrington On Holdem (Vol. 1 & 2 Tournament Play)
a good foundation on Tournament theory although this series is getting outdated now for online play (still very well worth reading if you haven't already read them,... I've read them a half-dozen times & would read them again, lol... but I'm a poker book addict/freak)

& lastly, 'Winning Poker Tournaments - One Hand At A Time' Vol1
(this is the best book by far but if you're a beginner/intermediate, you'd for sure want to read the others first).
Vol.2 of this book is now available & have heard it's even better than the first edition (book takes off where Vol.1 leaves off... ITM (after bubble pops & late stages)). I'm waiting for my copy in the mail at the moment.

Kill Everyone - revised edition w Elky supplement (MTT/SNG NLHE)
I haven't read this book but it had been on my list for quite some time. I 'had' always heard it was an excellent book until recently when I read some reviews of it by good MTT players (regs.) who said it's more of a beginner book for Tournament play. I'm probably still going to grab a copy of it but with less expectations than I'd previously had.

For SNG play I'd also recommend Collin Moshmann's SNG Strategy. It'd give you a good foundation to SNG theory.

Question/Comment.... It depends also on what kind of tournaments you're planning on playing (ie. if it's local casino donkaments, then something like "Poker Tournament Formula" would be good... for fast structured tourneys).
