Villian is limping a lot of hands PF..this includes any suited/os connectors, and even up to A,K. Just a passive player never, or next to never raising PF.

I'm unsure of if I made the correct play of check/shove the flop, thoughts? I don't think "calling" is correct in this spot being out of postion and don't really want to be in the postion of 'check calling' trying to hit my flush, not only readable but costly..but I'm unsure of if I should of shoved the flop either and to get whatever he bet with to fold. I though maybe some draw like me was possible or 8,9/ Q,K but I'm not sure if this is profitable long term to be shoving with one overcard and a flush draw here.

I guess I'm only getting any weak Jack or smaller pair to fold this shove, right?

Since theres an ante present, we're actually under 10 bb here effective, so probably just shove it pre-flop.

Yeah I don't think I was ever shoving here PF, but in general the actually check/shove flop - good or bad spot to be doing it? Have we enough equity + fold equity most times to make this +EV long term or not?

I like checking preflop with that hand then bet the flop. If your planning on getting your chips in with this hand its better to bet the flop, becuase most people will c-bet in position any ways and if you bet and he just calls hes probably on a draw, and he will still have fold equity on the turn.

I like your check raise here. Very aggressive and gives him a whole lot to think about. With his wide range he could easily be on a straight or flush draw himself so that Ace is nice to have in both scenarios. Your 12 outs are pretty nice to have in this situation. You just shove and hold your breath.
His bet after the flop could easily just be an attaempt to take it down - after all you are the BB that checked your option - what the hell can he put you on?
I think I'm doing the same thing in this scenario. Well actually probably not now that I think of it. I probably would have bet the flop - but I do like your check raise. Probably stronger move than just betting the flop where he may very well shove on you.
