Play some music in the background or play 2 tournaments at the same time. both have their advantages/disadvantages but they work if you are impatient

Get up and play from a standing position for a while. Walk around. Click on your autofold option and go outside for some fresh air. Do some stretching. Grab a caffienated beverage. Turn up the music. Wet a cold rag and wipe the back of your neck.

Ok, this may sound a little unorthodox but here goes. Lately I've been having a modicum of success playing 2 freerolls at once. I guess it forces me to play a more disciplined game. I can't waste any time getting fancy or trying to figure out the intention of the other players. If it isn't playable It gets folded. This is probably the worst advice your gonna get on this thread and I will deny I ever said it.

Sorry RJ, I didn't mean to make a quote of your post.

Hi The Jackle - I used to do the same thing. When I first started, after about 1.5 hours, I would start fading. I'd play hand that I shouldn't, call big bets I shouldn't, and go all in when I shouldn't. I'd go out of tourney around 50 because of boredom or distraction. But now I make sure I concentrate on the game and I've improved greatly - I've even started to win some money!

I agree about the 2 tourney idea. Then you get in the habit of throwing away mediocre hands.

You forgot the most important piece of advice: "Keep your eye on the prize!"

RammerJammer, I just wanted to let you know that I love reading your posts; always good, sound advice! (And so eloquently put, as well! lol)

I also play 2 tournaments at the same time (I have 3 computers on my desk), so I usually play 2 tournaments or a cheap ring game and a tournament. It keeps me busy I get bored and play stupid when I just play one. I sometimes watch a movie that I have seen a zillion times, that way I know what is going to happen and it doesn't distract me from my game, if I watch a new movie or show, I end up wanting to watch it and usually play real stupid.

Good Luck,

i believe what gets you after a couple of hours of playing in a tourney is you start feeling the need to get your chip stack built up. You see all these people with around 5 times as many chips as you sometimes and something clicks inside that says "ahhhh hurry up your falling behind". Just have to remember patience patience patience. Also doesnt hurt to keep a strees ball on hand to squeeze lol

For me, patience is very difficult especially when it is already a lot of chips and I often take risks

I too find myself getting distracted or bored after a while. I start continuing with hands I would have folded earlier in the game. It can be worse when i have a good stack as I can be a bit more relaxed about my position in the game.

I've tried playing two games at the same time and so far find myself losing track of what blinds are in effect in each game, especially if they are vastly different at the time. More than once I've checked an amount that was a disaster in that game but would have been nothing in the other.

The squeeze ball seems a good idea as it'll keep my hands occupied and off the mouse and keyboard.

after one hour of play, try to go to another tournament and keep to the main very tight,do not risk in vain, and want to tickle your nerves, you take your chances in another tournament, don't be afraid to merge and lost in another register. in General, emotions merge into another tournament.

another option. the aim is to reach the prizes, then enter in the top 100 to get on the last table ,go into 3 leaderboards and finally win. Good luck in all attempts!

If you're playing SNG's try adding another table if you're getting bored. I usually last much longer like that, and play more methodical too for some reason. I also tend to do better playing two tables rather than one (per table) so that in itself is motivation. I think this might be because I often over think things :/

poker rethinking

I noticed recently, and I'm better game like poker Attach two more or less the same time -i like play premier league and play at the same time frerola at other rooms- worst time with me at 2 am
Today, however, try to get a chance to give better play - cup of strong coffee and quietly wait for strong hands without foolish risky behavior of bluffing from 2.9 etc.
Regards;)

my goal also is to reach the first withdrawal, and only as to the reach, begin a risky play - but often I lack courage before to risk and then I could have a lot more tokens to gain a better paid places - but I fear the stupid fall off the chip leader who can my all in check 2.7 and get set 222, so it depends also from the so-called lucky, but at some point where he already starts playing poker already typically Shooting turns in the game of bingo - so it seems to me -to a certain point can be different Peeling tactics but already in a deep stage of high Blindow at 3 minutes during the game is already on people lucky - as in all in shootout Turnament - heeheh heheh :))
