Too agressive

Yesterday i was playing LAPL brazil league tourney and finished the first break in 5th.
After some hands i give all in, the flop with JJ + 9 kicker

bb 400
2 guys bets 400
He bets 2000
I go all in ( in position) 12000

My oponent doesn not have a hand yeat after flop and go all in with KQo.
He wins with a flush in the river, unfortunately to me.
I was too agressive in this hand ?
I finished the tourney in 176th.

Yes ive done the same thing twice..

You might want to post a specific hand history if possible. There are various converters around on the net.
