Losing that much myself lately with KK all in preflop starting to think fold everything in Venom or other satellites to an all in including AA if shorter stacks at risk and ICM considerations guarantee me a ticket.
Venom satellite few hours ago was 40 out of 52 players left,
50 tickets guy shoved preflop AK I called AA board JK56K I bust 52nd bad call with AA.:top:

The question is how likely it would have been that you reach ITM by folding... Your stack is really small and others might just wait for you to bust.

But since there is a player with just 2BB left on your table folding would have been an option. He is auto all-in in the next hand he is in BB and if he busts then you have your ticket....

Its hard to say without knowing the exact structure of this tournament. Was it a satellite, where you either win a ticket or nothing? Then folding your way to that ticket is certainly the best strategy, if you are sure, you have chips enough. In all other situations this is a no-brainer all in.

What other way do you play it, everyone folds before you your kings are good. Even if you just call BB is going all in and so should you. Just the way the cards fell, better luck next time.

You got it in as a 5:1 favorite. Just unlucky.

Yeah, but in the bubble I wondered if I should have given up on KK

Not if you are playing to win...

You got your money in as an 80% favorite...what better odds do you want? You have to keep in mind sometimes they are going to get there on you...1 in 5 times the underpair is going to get you.

Folding Kings here is a losing play in the long run - no guarantee by folding Kings that you are going to make the bubble anyhow - but on the other hand 80% of the time this play it going to double you up...math doesnt lie.

Dont be upset - if busting like this is going to keep you from making the correct plays - then you shouldn't be playing. Poker is a long term game and if you cant stand losing - especially when you got it in as good as you did - then you are playing the wrong game.

I dont mean to sound harsh or overly critical but for myself coming to terms with the reality of the game certainly helped me improve my overall game, sharpened my mental aspect, and has led me to better my outlook as a whole.

It was a friendly satellite that gave 7 tickets of $ 109.00 and 23 tickets of $ 11.00 total of 30 tickets drops in 31

It was a satellite bubble, but the ones behind might be able to double up and if I waited and let the KK pass, I could stay out. But I'm still calm I think the decision was right

Both played correctly, one was lucky a little more than the other, it's normal, it's poker.

Don't think you should be folding or limping in this spot. Jamming seems like the right play. I believe you said you were the opener so yeah only play here. You just got unlucky that the jacks caught. I mean if there's no action and it gets to you with kings with 6 bigs and your doing anything but shoving might as well not play imo.

Limping would have been the correct play followed by CHEQUE, then FOLD to a big bet

It is a satellite you had two options to wait for the CO that only has 2 BBs to be eliminated or to play it with the pair of kings both valid but I would have done fold KK here and hope that the CO was eliminated so I would have handled it but I repeat both valid ones you had won that hand and you secured the ticket you had bad luck unfortunately

If you went to the flop calmly, you would still not be able to drop your hand. It's pokerstars. You have to fold good cards to get prizes.
