TILT! There is loads of advice in the forum about Tilting or not. In a nutshell, I believe tilt doesnt exist. Ignore bad outcomes because that is poker....poker is probability, so you always have a chance of losing and just because you are favourite at any one stage doesnt guarantee a win. Dont tilt...just keep focused and play great poker.

This happens to everyone, focus on the remaining tournaments.
Poker is math, do not let it contaminate your other tournaments.

Close the table and do not think about it anymore.

You need to read the book Jared Tendler "The Mental Game of Poker"

Get a great hand on the next one, bet over the top, let everyone think you're tilting, and hopefully rake it in.

Tilt is an emotion in poker that you must overcome quickly, if not the odds of success in poker are not good. We all get discouraged from losing with a great hand or from a bad beat, how we rebound is important. Personally, I try and fold most hands immediately after, unless it's a great hand. I over bet a good hand to create the illusion of tilt. Hopefully I get my opponent to call off a big pot. Success is the best way to get off tilt.

These answers are too general. You will find that the more you play poker, the more life lessons you will learn, and the more you learn about yourself. Ultimately you have to control YOU. Nobody else can. But it is a slow and difficult process.

People say do this and do that, but you have to go down a path that works for you. And everyone's path is different. Tendlers book is pretty good though.

Stick to cash games if you feel very sensitive. Quit them when tilt hits and come back when calm again.

Inspite of being a newbie in poker I've already faced such difficulty as tilt, that's very desparate when your opponent has 2 outs and he hits them on the river, but still if you have some chips left behind your back, just follow advice of Negreanu:
"Just say to yourself how damn bad you feel about this situation, how irritated you are, try to describe the situation and your impressions as detailed as possible. Then pull yourself together and get down to bussiness again." I've tried it several times and somehow magically it helps, but try to be as genuine as possible with yourself, don't avoid talking aloud.
Good luck for you and its whole abscence for your opponents who are waiting for emergency exit on the river!:D

Sincerely yours, mrpolyglott
from Russia with love!
