Okay I play mainly low buy in tournaments for enjoyment. I manage to win enough to keep me in buy ins but nothing spectacular.
I am still learning and would really like to know you might have played this hand different. Two hands in a row I get dealt KK the first one was simple caught a king on the flop and extracted as much as I thinki I could of off the other player. The second one was not so simple and I ended up losing a little. Please tell me what you might have done different. I thought maybe I should have reraised another time I thought about it believe me. I was against a player who could have eliminated me and I hate shoving with KK without seeing a flop.
anyways obviously I played it wrong.

1st hand: make it at least 12K preflop and never show your hand after he folds

2nd hand: Get it in preflop. Flatting the 3bet is bad, really bad.

Hand 1: I make it at least $10K pre. Alternatively if the table is very squeezy with more stacks in the 15-30K range you can flat to induce a shove over.

I was against a player who could have eliminated me and I hate shoving with KK without seeing a flop.

When you have KK you want to play as big a pot as possible. Erase the thought that the player who can eliminate you from your mind, your tournament life is worthless. It's a player who can double you up.

Hand 2: Easiest preflop shove ever. This hand illustrates the problem with your thinking. If the guy had more chips he could have either gotten away from it or bluffed you off the hand. When you have KK, the flop is going to be worse for them than for you, so let them put it in before they get scared of the flop.

When you end up with a stack-to-pot ratio of like 1-3 you can be pretty sure you did something wrong.

hand 2. I bump it again pre-flop to at least 25k. I'm happy to get it all in against anything but AA, Assuming the caller doesn't have it, that leaves a 0.5% chance. It can seem tempting to see if an A flops, but that's a defensive attitude that can reduce the value you get when opponents have hands you crush, like QQ or JJ. Plus you're a solid favorite pre- vs an unpaired A anyway

What's already been said in the other responses '&' in Hand 2 you're probably better off to just come over the top & shove (as it'll appear weaker than 4betting to 25k... many will automatically assume > 'AK'.. 'AQs'.).
