I've recently downloaded a program for my mac that allows me to use my key board to do automated actions(fold/check/bet/all-in etc) This has gave me so much more time at the tables, so I decided to go from tile to cascade/stack. I then realised that my usual 12 tables is too much of a bore like this(I'm finding 12 fairly easy when tiling without the hotkeys as well, but I play in sets; when I get to the tougher ICM decisions I usually have a few tables going, I play the 45 SnG) So I tried loading up as many tables as I could.

As soon as I had a spare 5 seconds I would load up another game. I reckon I got to about 35 games; I didn't exactly had enough time to count and when I finally did have time I counted about 25, but it was much easier at that stage.

I'm thinking though that really I need to ditch the mac for my poker and start using windows as I've heard that there's lots of good programs/scripts that help one do this. It would be fantastic to have a program that resits me when I'm sitting out; I had to constantly make sure that I wasn't sitting out any tables as when I first started stacking months ago I had about 10 tables sitting out without me knowing. I'm much more competent now though and only 2 sat out, probably due to the hot key program. It would also be great to have a table launcher/ M calculator for everyone's stacks/ final table notification.

I play very low stakes where the play is quite horrific at times, which is why I think this will be profitable. Perhaps I'm being egotistical, but I think that I absolutely destroy my opponents when everyone becomes short-stacked. I did make some huge errors though; I accidentally folded QQ pre, made some good chip equity pushes but terrible ICM pushes not realising I was at the final table, some misclick min-raises/all-ins. I think this would improve with practice though, the hotkeys were really weird.

Does anyone else at there multi-table like this? If so, what is your set-up? I'm thinking of setting up my second monitor to put the pokerstars lobby on there but not sure if that would work.

Secondly, is this a bad approach to online poker? Sure, I may become very competent at mass multi-tabling but I wouldn't be able to do this at higher stakes where some heavier thoughts/reads are required. Hell, I didn't have any reads throughout the sessions, besides when I got 4 way I payed a bit of attention to them. I also didn't really learn anything from playing like this; it was a simple grind, nothing gained but money and mass tabling experience. I could get in the habit of going over a bunch of hand histories afterwards and do my learning that way but this will turn me into a very robotic, formulaic player but I guess that's good or SnG.

I can't help you with this cause I barely play more than 2 tables at any given time. Four is usually my max since I generally play when i have other stuff going on during the day.

However or M at the table Tournament Indicator shows M for all players in the HUD. I am not sure if PT3 or HEM does this as well but TI does it for sure.

Have you heard of TableNinja? I don't know if they have a Mac version, however if you're using Stars and plan to mass-multi table it's a must. It has a table opener, handles a lot of annoyances, i.e. automatically return you after you time out, lets you customize hotkeys, etc. Hjalper is another program similar to TableNinja that I've heard a lot of good things about.

Mass-multitabling is fine as long as you're ready for it. Having a AHK program is helpful and provides you with extra time for some of the tougher decisions, but don't add more tables than you're ready for. Loading a lot of tables is easier imo for SNG's than for ring, because the decisions you have to make are a lot simpler most of the time. But if you load too many too fast, you'll probably develop a lot of leaks and not realize it, since you're always trying to get to the next decision.

playing stars, get table ninja, easy to use, before you start tell it how many tables you want to play, when you bust on one, youll have the next one come up, auto ck of pop ups, etc. Also u assign the hotkeys yourself. I have a keypad, so 1 is 1/3 pot bet, 2 is 1/2pot bet, 3 is 3/4 bet, 5 is to actually make the bet, 8 is all in. I tile my tables, you put the cursor over the table and hit your auto key, or i have mine set up- hit the 0 key and table that needs action first gets outlined and you hit the key you want, if caught up, i move cursor to tables where im folding, and hit right mouse key to select fold. Table ninja is free for first 30 days.
