I'm talking live at my local casino. The buyins are 50 plus 5 for the extra chip. It's usually 44 max, 1 rebuy allowed for until the first break. Only annoying thing is the payouts... a large chunk is taken off for poker league. So, assuming you get an average of 40 players with 10 or more rebuys. the prize is always around 500-600 first place... you would have to cash in the top 3 an average of every 5 tournaments. This doesn't include the other profit eating habits around here. Everytime you're expected to pay the bubble with 5 people left. Dealers expect tips, and also transportation. I am beginning to wonder, since tournaments have such huge variance... are these tourneys even worth playing?

Play 1/2 or 2/5 instead and catch the tilted bust outs. Cashgames are very profitable during daily tournaments.

Poker at: BCP
Game: Hold em
Doesn't sound like it's worth the time for the payout range

.. based on your description it doesn't sound like it's good value for your time and money , might be ok if that's the only game around and you don't mind the payouts
