Do people make more calls at a person they don't particulary like or something and is it best if your gonna say something that may piss someone off to leave it to yourself?

just wondering cause I have had the past 3 games where I've got sucked out on from fish cause I abused there play I.e seeing someones aces get cracked my runner runner flush even though he didnt get odds to call.

There was this absolute donk at the table went all in with anything got 3 suckouts was up 7k, lost 5 k in 5 hands, went all in with air and all sorts.

I was BB I had 2 limpers I raised to 5bb cause I knew this fish would call me, I had A-K, he reraised.. lol typical I thought so I reraised back.. he shoved all in.. im like no. So I call.

he shows J-6. wtf... it was like his mission to donk me off... so what I'm asking if you have got nothing nice to say is it best to just say nothing since someone may make it their personal mission to try and suck out on you?

In general I think you should avoid abusing players who make crap plays... you want their money, if you abuse them they may take their money to another table. Also they may tighten up their game (unlikely but it is possible.)

Some would say that they will berate people in order to tilt to take their chips, but this argument is flawed imo.

I try not to chat, while paying attention to who is chatty and more prone to tilt.

Don't tap the tank. More importantly than what you're worried about, don't do anything that will lead the player playing badly to play better.

+1 to above... another thing to add is that you dont want to give away that your able to fold strong hands.. its like putting a sign on your head that reads

"please bluff me"

Example - I just had a guy (limit holdem) call me down w JTo on 7cAh3cQh board and catch his 10:1 K on the river. My chat - "nh" - his response "awful suckout" - my response "it happens, just poker". I want him calling down w this hand at 4:1 odds w a 10:1 hand.

sometimes i can't help but type something into the chat box. i play sngs and if i open a 12 game session ofc the games i lose it will happen before i win any so once in a while i'll start to get heated. it's not uncommon im all in preflop(aipf) w/KK vs KJo or some complete trash and sure enough i lose. what i've been doing when i have to type something is to type "ez game" then just open another table. i do however leave out the "when you don't know how" part. :)

yeah, noting to yourself what a donk the guy is can be therapeutic... depending on how much swearing is added in... :)

Do not insult the fish. Two bad things can happen.
1. Fish improves his/her game, thus reducing profit margins.
2. Fish comes after you in the game a lot, thus eliminating your ability to bluff at a pot.

Personally, when I see a player pop off at the tables, I do not target them per say, however I have mentally noted they are prob a donkey and watch for spots to exploit them.
I could be wrong but it is my first impression when I see the chat in the box.

I dont believe it is wise to tell a player how bad they are, let them play bad and just wait for the right cards to get their chips, usually they dish out a few bad beats before giving up all their chips, objective should be to get their chips when they are sitting on a nice stack

i chat a lot and try to get a little chummy with anyone who'll listen, then blatantly steal from them, or others raises, mid sentence in the middle of a story, then type "sorry had to, I had QQ". then finish off the story.

I also do like to chat and wind a few people up as well.
