I am finding success at 6 max super turbo sngs, but its over a very small sample size. It is all pre-flop play and position..and mainly fish are playing them from what I can tell.

So do you think them games are just a lot of luck or is more skill and can be profitable in the long run?

I haven't played many myself but if your push-fold game is better than most of your opponents then (in theory) absolutely they should be profitable in the long run. Whether they're more profitable than other games really depends on how well you do in those other games, of course.

if fish who play incorrectly are playing them then they're profitable. this well especially be the case at stakes ~$10 and below. the variance can be really cruel though, and it's pretty easy to get discouraged (and tilted) when you go on a big downswing

I don´t play this games but if you are talking about Merge SuperT´s, i read that ROI for this is 3-4% max (in $2/$5´s), wich is insane because means variance is huge (wich is expected been a superturbo). Top leaderboard player is losing after 12k games.

This games are mostly for rakeback grinders or for try to chase the leaderboard (i think pays $2000 in merge) because can load a lot of volume in less time. But surely you can have bigger ROI in other games.

So if you have rakeback in merge or enjoy the games i guess is good for you. But variance is way big, if start to get south then just drop it.

Yeah, like any other game type it all depends on your playstyle. For me I don't mind the Turbo or Super Turbos because my patience still tends to pay off. People expand their range a lot for super-turbos and it can be easy to come out ahead if you know what to wait for and aren't scared to make a move.

Yea on carbon, i managed toget a free dolar with the fun step games, played with that 1$ for about a month breaking even and coming up some, then finaly lost 10 games in a row, the downswings are rough, the upswings do not come as often as you would hope for.

If your serous about thos ST games i recommend a huge BR bc the swings WILL be crazy, but its good for getting rake, and getting more points faster. Just know your AA will get beat more and you will suck out just as badly. IF your trying to make money off this in the long run, your cant NOT let the bad runs get you down.

I do not recomend these bc phsycologically it is stressful unless you are running like a beast, but gl to ya :D

I ran very well today playing these st 6 max sngs...especially at the end, took down 4 out of my last 6.

The players are mostly weak in these games, but like everyone is saying...variance plays a huge factor when it comes st sngs.

They are very profitable, learn a solid push/fold game and when to stall to make blinds go up and disadvantage short stacks near the bubble and you will be a easy winner. Make sure you are well rolled though because of the crazy variance

I played a handful of them on FTP while a friend of mine was putting in some volume on them. I'm not sure what the differences are from the ones you're playing vs. the ones that were on FTP but do know that even the better players are only running at ~ ROI+1%-2% (over a large sample size > 20,000+ games for one of them). Easy to put in huge volume in short period of time (if the site actually has that many of them running.. ie. where you can multi-table 12-20 at a time).
Unless you're chasing a bonus or something, I personally wouldn't bother with them. Have also found they can be a bit on the addictive side, lol.

Another little edge I noticed is in when you are positioned in relation to the change in blind levels (on FTP). Once the blinds get very high, usually the game is over after a few more hands so working out when to slow the play down is pretty useful.

I don't find them very profitable. All the action is preflop and it is more like flipping a coin then poker. Stay away from super turbos!! Just my opinion.
