I enjoy playing MTTs but when I don't have the time to play 4hrs I have been playing 6max supers instead of cash. I was inspired by my best friend "Terribleplyr" after he managed to win 10K+ in just 6max super turbos. I have played only about 100 games but I am really enjoying them. The only thing I don't like is seeing my ROI on sharkscope diminish. ROI was around 65% before playing supers and is now ~45%. Obviously ROI is just a stat and the real thing that matters is profit, but I love seeing the monster ROI. Makes me feel good :p

Ive noticed in the super turbos once you get to the ante's everyone plays tight because of the size of the blind. Which if you have decent amount of chips you can really build a stack stealing blinds and coast to the money without really getting your hands dirty. So I agree Super's are great.

Yeah Super Turbos used to be (maybe still are? I haven't played in a while) a pretty good way to make money if you know how to play solid short stack poker, once you make it past the first 3-4 all ins of course. My suggestion is to used position to the utmost and try to get a big stack early to push others around.

They are tough. If you don't get strong hands early, they almost become the same as a lottery ticket with blinds increasing so fast.

I think they are pretty fun, I play them occasionally when DON's or MTT's get boring, and there not too terribly difficult. A lot of fun IMO.

Could you elaborate on what you consider to be a "strong hand?"

Yeah the variance in super turbos is no fun, long losing streaks from getting unlucky is not for everyone. Definitely can break some players' rolls and spirits.

Not a fan of the super turbos. It really dilutes the skill in my opinion when you're forced to play more hands at the beginning because you start with only 10-15 BBs.

I don't know if it dilutes the skill, just a completely different game.

Definitely dilutes skill. your ROI will go down but you can get lots more volume so profits can go up

I stay away from those. Tried the hyper 6 max games on stars lost about 10 buyins got super tilted and went on to loose about $60 in these games. The variance in these games is immense if you cant handle it don't play them.

I regard SuperTurbos, rightly or wrongly, as shovefests and I dont touch them.

Not really, have you ever tried it before? People 12 table cash games in which you constantly face tricky post flop play. In these every decision is super super easy. There is only ever one right answer and 99 percent of the time is really obvious. They are way way easier to multi table than cash/tournies.
