Put some aggression. Works for me. Never go too deep with "low chance to win" hand.

ya i plan on playing these for a whole month to get my HU game in ship shape.

At the moment i just start off by raising then try to exploit the weaknesses of opponants where possible. I also try to be really nice if they chat, because i generally want rematches.

There isn't much strategy in those tourneys. It's really either all-in or fold.

Depends what structure it is teepack. There is less time, sure, but there's plenty of edges to be found, especially if you can find a player and keep getting rematchs from him.

In my honest opinion, there is no good strategy for these type of tournaments. It's either all in or fold, player with most skill will lose more often to a fish rather than in a normal tournament.

Hi torosanti;

You can found aver theese link a good strategy over a superturbo HUSNG game:

- http://www.tagpoker.co.uk/articles/heads-up-super-and-hyper-turbo-poker-strategy.html

Hope this will help you to improove your game.

Good Luck at the table !

The first article is really poor and misleading and if you listen to the advice it would likely prevent you from winning.

The second article gives some good general advice that is often repeated by winning players on the forums.

Mersenneary's ebook would probably be the most valuable piece of free info for you to use to study these games. It's practical (so low stakes guys can understand it) and very solid theory/concept/examples are used.

This couldn't be further from the truth. Limping, minraising, small 3bets, and postflop play are very important in this format. Mrgr33n13 didn't win 1.5 million or so last year in these because of luck. The SNG leaderboard isn't dominated by hyper turbo HUSNG players because it's just luck.

The problem that some people have is that they look at it as "edge in one game." These games are only 3 minutes long, if I have a 2% ROI in them and I'm 2-3 tabling, I'm making a buyin per hour in profit. You just can't really approach that level of winrate in most games, including turbo or regular speed HUSNGs, where the edge per game is higher, but the hourly rate will be lower.

There is a ton of skill in these games, and once you reach the status of "solid winning regular" there are few games as profitable as hyper turbo HUSNGs today.

I have to agree there is no need to be playing an all in or fold game in them. Most people don't keep it in their head that their opponent is playing under the same time constraint pressures as they are. In these I like to think of it as putting pressure on your opponent more than being super aggressive. Being able to get a quick read on your opponent is very helpful in these and this is where keeping good player notes on everyone you play comes in very handy.

the best strategy is play more than 30% hands
if you have any A go all-in at preflop
