I was wondering if any of you would be willing to offer any of your personal views on bet sizing and your logic/thinking behind it.

Personally I keep it simple normally and try my best keep from revealing hand strength by 2x, 2.5x, and 3xing depending on early, middle, or late position respectively. This of course excludes my factoring in raises and/or opponent stats, but for the purposes of this thread lets keep it simple.

My query, specifically is if anybody else does any "suggestive" betting like in the below clip where my intent was to give the suggestion, subliminal or not, that I was holding top pair if not top set.

Cam-

postflop betsizing should be made with the intent of repping whatever you are repping. Betting in a way to get your opponents to do what you want, be it fold, call or raise/shove.

I definitely vary postflop bets in certain spots.

I don't think you are repping anything there though. Your bet doesn't smell like top pair at all. it's just a cbet. You are making that with top pair, overpairs, sets, str8 draws, flush draws and whiffs as well.

this spot is too simple.

The better question is why are you opening QToff UTG pre-antes? Fold that fast it'll just get you into trouble.

Thanks zubs.

Admittedly I was farting around in a single table purging my inner donk but I see what your saying about provoking the action that I prefer they make.

:D
