Hi,

I've played more than 5k at $3,40 level with an ok ROI between 11%-12% excl. turbo (small example with bad run :p)..

Before "Black Friday" I had played 3213 games at $5,50 level over a course of 7 months of which the last 1k example I ran pretty much break-even.. end ROI is at 8,10%.

After "Black Friday" I've played a small example (+-800) of $11's and $15's in which I ran pretty ok.. Anyway, I went to the $7's and I've been playing at this limit since then.. about 1719 games and I'm at 4,60% ROI.. :S The thing is I'm break-even the last 1k example 2nd time..

I've played enough to experience max. downswings of 40-55BI's which happened like 2 or 3x which is probably a bit horrible than 1k break-even stretches.. but still 1k break-even stretches sucks too.. within this 1k break-even stretch I had heaters followed up directly by downers (like 1 ITM finish out of 19 tournaments :s, and this happened more than once) ..

I'm sure I have leaks and I need to try to keep improving my game at all times.. Anyway, whether it's a downswing of 40-55BI's or 1k break-even stretches, they both hurt my confidence level.. I feel like stuck at the $7's and probably need to move down :s for just a while to regain confidence.. Not because of BRM issues but once again due to feeling stuck forever at break-even at $7's..lol

I understand poker and variance.. but just wanted to write this down and was actually looking for some other winning regs who could confirm similar 1k break-even stretches.. Feeling I'm not the only one :p makes me feel better lol

Yeah i had those type of runs playing the $7 turbo games. Though the turbos are considerably harder, you probably shouldn't be having consistant 40-50 Buyin downswings in the non-turbo games. But hey, variance is a bitch, it could easily be just a bad run of cards over 1k games, it could have something to do with your playing style. Usually it's a combination of both however.

I can't say i've ever really play that many non-turbo games, but you can have a much higher skill edge in those games compared to turbo format.
