Silver Level
Here's a fun idea for all you STT players!
It is commonly accepted that the bubble is where the majority of your ROI comes from. It is also pretty well known that the bubble has some of the most tricky spots in STT's. So here is what I propose:
- you will send me by private message an interesting/difficult hand history that takes place on the bubble, with an explanation of what you find tricky about the spot.
- you are allowed to submit up to two hands each week.
- the hand must be taken from a tournament played that week (i.e. I can't submit a hand from August, it would have to be from the week of each respective contest).
- after each week, I will post a link here to a thread in the tournament HA section containing the hand I think will generate the most discussion and will be the most educational for the forum. From there we will all provide our input as to what needs to be considered and what the best course of action is.
I will do this for four weeks, then we'll come up with something new for next month (I have an idea of what I wanna do, but if you guys have any ideas just let me know). Please note that I am far from a bubble expert: in fact, it's probably the weakest part of my game, which is exactly why I want to do this activity. A discussion of different factors to consider on the bubble will not only be good for the STT players on the forum, it will be hugely beneficial to me. So I will not be giving the right answer in any of the spots, I will merely be facilitating discussion. It'll be up to the forum to come to an answer(s).
A special note for CC members with under 150 posts-- to encourage your participation, if I select a hand sent by a member with less than 150 posts, then I will send you a $10 prize on Full Tilt or Pokerstars.
So everyone go play some STT's, search through your hand histories and send them to me! I will post the first hand next Monday, October 11th.
