Im really struggling with hands like AQ and 88 and 99 in middle of tournaments. I think im way too aggressive with them and find that im going all-in vs coin flips too often. But i also don't want to be the guy who folds too much, especially with donks in freerolls. Please help. Did i play the pre flop wrong?

easy fold. maybe you could just shove all in after villain on the button goes all in because now you are pot commited and after missing the flop it will be hard for you to fold the hand. in this scenario even though you are pot commited you shouldnt call this all in raise because villain might have the king or at least a pair and he is very likely to be ahead in the hand.

If you can be ahead of the 27BB all-in (they over-value weaker ace high hands) you should probably just re-shove.

I don't think I'm ever flat-calling the all-in except maybe with AA, you shouldn't be welcoming a third player into the pot here.

Most of the time this is a pair and you will be flipping, if it is AK or better you are in real trouble... I'm OK with folding to competent players here.

Medium pairs are also difficult, but similarly try to place yourself in situations where you are ahead of their range and you will end up in mostly flips and pair-over-pair situations (a 4.5 to 1 favorite).

Win your flips and keep putting yourself in good spots and you will go far. :D

Good luck to you!

Okay you calling preflop, but why? Then needed all in.

Better was fold

Easy fold, someone squeezes you for 27 bigs also you have to worry about the player who smooth calls your UTG raise.

How to play AQ in future though in freerolls....... :S there a lot spots to explain. But to keep it simple you could just flip players who are under 15 bigs. And folding to players shoving 20bigs+ isn't bad play. If you are the big blind and the sb/button/co are shoving wide probably okay to call but remember you are behind vs pairs so care :D

fold pre after button goes all in. Its a coin toss anyway. Big deal fold it or if not should go all in.

You would be up against small pairs or AJ or lower but its all a coin toss. AK and higher pairs - KK,AA is nightmare. What good is to play AQ pre calling nearly half your stack and then folding after flop? So, should have folded pre.

As played, MP+1 has a small pair or representing a pair of Kings. Its a fold after you checked. But this is in cash games.

Now for freeroll tourneys: Again should have folded pre if you are just gonna call. If you wanna flip it, go for it all in. MP+1 whether he has a pair or not in freeroll, is going all in with any Ace and trying to isolate the pot in the flop after you checked. Its still a fold as played.

Easy fold pre to the squeeze;

Avoid calling all ins with AQ for 15 BB+.

I don't flat the 27 bb shove with a player with decent stack behind me. You opened and he flatted you. Consider the no reraise range from that position. Nah, I'm repping a big pair and sqeezing him out pre or folding.

Yea ace queen isn't a guaranteed win, try to see more flops and less coin flips.

Struggling means without confidence, fold is the best way.

When pretty cards come your way, it's easy to over value, become attached. The only time I would call re-raise pre-flop all-in would be with Pocket KK, or AA. The rest is an easy fold.

This is a fold, unless you know opponent is shoving junk, then it's a 3bet all-in iso

Fold pre, people in freerolls will almost always jam after the flop after a big raise pre

Struggling with top hands is good but it doesn't enough, According to me hands like 23,47,k3 all garbage hands are more powerful than AA or KK so you have to be very careful with top hands[emoji122]

It's an easy fold but you should have reshoved preflop or folded, calling is the worst option.

easy fold here, in freerolls you need to hit flops, pots inflate quickly especially at early levels.
