You need to be a bit careful about playing too rigidly from a hand chart (even if you find one appropriate for 6-max). That approach makes you too predictable and easy prey for the better players.

Use your normal strategy, but adjust for the reduced number of opponents. Under the gun at a short table is more or less equivalent to mid position at a full one. The button and cut-off play pretty much the same in either case.

As a rough rule of thumb, any pair and any two high cards from Jack-Ten upward are likely to be playable from the first two seats after the blinds. From the button and cut-off, you can probably add any Ace, suited Kings and (possibly) suited connectors. Tighten or loosen from this stance, depending on the level of aggression or passivity displayed by the opponents.

You need to know your table. Like Egon said, don't get stuck on a rigid set of rules. Just play your hands like you do and fold more than less in early position, if you get reraised you'll lose your chips quick. If you get a monster, don't be afraid to get it all in the middle.

Play very few hands.

Play in position.

Raise.

Make your commitment decision preflop (don't play a hand with the intention of shoving if you hit the flop, you should be playing hands that you would happily shove with, regardless of most flops)
