What strategy should I follow in a multi-table tournament?

How should you play in the opening hours of the tournament and in the bubble?

It all depends on things like blinds structure and strting stack, but in general you would want to play very tight in the beginning of a MTT tournament. Play almost only in position. You also have to consider your stack seize comparing to the blinds.

In the bubble I would paly very tight just to get in the money, but in my opinion if you would liek to win you need to play the same even though you could get busted out with nothing.

The strategy depends on :-

1.Tourney Type
2.Blinds
3.Structure

Because different type of tourneys require different strategies in order to be profitable

But in General Play Tight in early stage and switch to aggression in later stages

It would be better if u can specifically mention which type of Mtt's as i could elaborate a strategy from my point of view

In the opening hours be more tightly than a bubble. But you must be tightly on the babble with small stack too.

I always play alot in the first 5 to 8 levels and then levels after i stick to the button and bb mostly. i stay aggressive but still slow play. i try to make my hand cheap bore i invest to much. you also make sure to analyze your opponents play stlye with the size of bets checks and how long it takes to make a decision along with whatever u can see them flip.

My opinion on MTTs

I dont understand why people are saying to play tight at the start. Thats when you should play loose because the blinds are so low, you will see a lot of cheap flops. I play tournaments to win, not hold on for the bubble, if u do that you're stack will be too small to make it much further. mtt are all about patience and picking your spots. I like to limp with big pairs or just flat call a raise with AA, KK to trap my opponents. Sometimes u get bad beats but its a risk that pays off more times than not. When im in a pot i always try to figure out my opponets cards by their bet sizes. If u play enough u will see patterns as most people make the same bet size ratios with the same cards. AK is the easiest to spot. Take advantage of short stacks and dont be afraid to 3 bet if u think someone is raising too much. When it gets down to the top 5% its not about the cards anymore its about who has the biggest balls to try and represent whats on the board. The more creative u are the less likely your opponents will get reads on u..good luck

I think that you should go all-in with AK, AQ unsuited or suited and most pairs 22-AA, and AJ suited in the first few hands of the tournament to build up a stack to be used later in the tournament.

It really depends on the structure of the tournament's blinds levels and the chips you are begining with . The less chips and the shorter the blind levels they are the more loose you are forced to play , if you want to accumulate chips and stay alive in the tournament . That's why I hate those kind of hyper turbo tournaments , you can't really play poker . But if it's a normal tournament , you can start playing tight aggressive but be ready to limp on every chance you are given at the begining or min raise from position with suited connectors for example , if you have enough chips , especially if you build big stack . Later , you can try to steal blinds on the bubble from nits or TAGs , play thyen very aggressively the more stack you have .Post bubble try to loosen style , play your oponents , untill preFT ,then be carefull . On FT , play again aggressively the good cards and spots . GL.
