Hi everyone, i entered cardschat some months ago, but was not so focused on actually improve my game, and just play the game. But now I'm here, and today i started thinking about 1$+R MTTs. What do you think of them? What is the most recommended strategy? I know there are several strategys but lets talk about the One Shot (No Rebuy), do you think is good going for? How to play early? And After the add-on?

:D :D Good Grinds everyone :D :D

I wonder how you see it, that describe the whole strategy of the game in mtt rebuys...

About no rebuy, this is ridiculous , just for you it will be a regular MTT ..
I know many players play without the addon, for those who are well trained in push/fold... but they play with rebuys..

Rebuy tourneys at a low level I reeally like . Lots of bad plays in rebuy tourneys and if it's small buy in then the variance wins don't hurt as bad . But like if it's 5$ rebuys I had no success with them I have won in 5$ non rebuys tho . Rebuys usually are easy to make it deep in IMO

if you play, plan on rebuying many times and addon always,
otherwise just play normal mtts

loosen your range and shove more in early stages

Micro Stakes can be tricky because we almost allways have to play extremely tight, because almost every single hand we face a typicall all in with everything, and when we finally got that AKs we go all in with them and then we face AA and KK, this has been my life

There is no set optimal strategy for these things!!

But some advice, if its a rebuy, people are generally getting it in lighter, looking for a double up early on, especially at the lower stakes.

This probably isn't a great strategy, but the way I like to play Rebuy/Add-on MTTs is to wait to register right before they go on break. Then when I register, I rebuy, and then take the add-on option. Lets say starting stack is 2K + 2K(rebuy) + 4K(add-on), so if it's a $1 Rebuy, I'm only paying $3 for an 8K starting stack.

Depending on the game type (reg or turbo), blinds are usually around 75/150-100/200, so you're sitting on about 40+ BBs. Not a great stack, but definitely usable. Just play a bit more aggressive in the mid-stages, open your raise/shove range, and steal a lot more. I noticed once the rebuy period ends, a lot of people nit up. So, if you see that, take advantage of it.

The biggest benefit I see is that I'm usually around an average stack for mid stages and I'm already passed a lot of the field and I just have to worry about getting through the later stages; which is a lot easier than early stages, IMO.

I've had the best results playing R/A MTTs this way.
