You are playing tournament, you raise 4bb on a pre flop, opponent calls, you are on the button, he is on the SB, pot 300.
And he bets 113. Why not 100,200,150? What this bet can mean?

used to be alot weirder u could type pennies like 84.23.

Maybe its a fixed bet like 40% of pot which is 120 so something like 38%, or maybe he just adds a 3 to every bet size so not to give off a tell, there could be lots of different reasons

I do this where I play, when I sometimes play tourneys.

No reason behind it really.

Well... At least to me, I just set up bet slide buttons in this configuration

On preflop:
2.07x to use in late game
2.36x to use before bubble
2.84x to use until first level of ante.

Post flop
44% of pot
63% of pot
82% of pot
All in

Its suitable for me to all situations to cbet, value bet, bluff and semibluff. So almost every bet that I do is a "broken" value like 217, 339, 411 and go on! hahahahaha

Sometimes I do it for kicks to throw people off.

Sometimes it's the software, some use crappy sliders for betting which leads to strange amounts.

1. If you doubt me, rail some $25-$50 or higher no-limit
games on the Internet. Guys who play these games are
the 1%. Watch how they play. Don’t focus on individual
hands. Look at frequencies. When someone 3-bets preflop,
how often does the other player fold versus call or 4-bet?
When someone bets the flop, how often does the other
one fold? How often does the flop bettor give up when
called? When there’s a postflop raise, how often does the
other player fold?
If you watch long enough to get a feel for these basic
frequencies, you’ll see that the players roughly follow my
rules. The guy that bets and gets called usually bets again.
And the guy that gets raised usually calls.

ya they are pre programed fixed bet, I have mine set like 42% 55% and 68%...

Its more maent to make them look bluffy or real strong hands trying to lure the aggressor into a 3bet. At least thats my reasoning

Some do it consciously. More for fun. Still others believe in luck when gaining a certain set of Digits. I use a conventional slider, or hit the left mouse button.

well, he justified his purpose of doin' it. You fold, because you think it is a trap :)

Some do it so you can't quickly calculate thst it's a 1/3 bet or 1/2 bet without having to pay attention , and making the person get confused and think alil more

This.

If I am in a playful, non-stressy mood and I am happy with my chip stack, I sometime throw opponents off by giving hints as to what my hand is. For example, if I have pocket 5s and I hit my set on the flop, I will lead with a 555 chip bet to see if any gets the hint just for the S&Gs.

It makes your bet look bigger because of more chips on the table. This can slightly confuse your opponent. Also if they are more focused on how big your bet is they lose concentration for how to play their own hand and might end up making mistakes.

Sometimes you can make them call/fold because psychologically the brain makes difference between eq. 89 and 119 look huge even if it is a mediocre difference. (like prices for products)

Or maybe you just scroll your raise thing randomly. Some people aren't worried much about making even number bets/.
